Can you imagine what the inside of those costumes must smell like?? YIKES!!
Not surprisingly, I have some experience with these kind of costumes. Did you know that they have FANS built into them? And the actors are only "on stage" for an hour at a time -- they're closely watched by a handler -- so they don't overheat.
I'll be gone over the weekend. I'll be hiking the Appalation Trail -- no kidding! I'll post pictures and apologies on Monday...

Quick! To Argentina!
I'm currently in San Francisco, housesitting for my dad while he's on vacation. Got a Dachshund that I'm watching over by the name of Jackson Pollack. I'll try to get a nice picture of him for you guys.

Tom if you come back and tell us you went to Argentina without Eric I'm kicking your ass. LOL Have a great time!
I think overcoming a dislike of onions counts
Keith I just don't get that living on the edge kind of thinking, fear does not equal fun to me. I can't even do really tall water slides, I waited with my family for a whole 40 minutes and when I finally got to the top and ready to get in the raft I completely panicked and had to do the walk of shame back down the stairs by myself. I was even taunted by some punk 8 yr old, He goes as I pass him "What happened, did you chicken out?"
This was at the end of the slide and you would go up on the sides almost to the point of doing a loop.

I've never considered myself an especially brave person but that ride makes me want to ride it, Jodi. I love stuff like that. I rode the Coney Island Cyclone a few years ago. It looks like a small, quaint roller coaster. That was one of the most fun and thrilling rides I've taken.
I've never seen the point of trying to "bully" people to go on rides they don't want to.

Catching up...
Jodi wrote: "I hate calling them blowjobs that makes them sound like so much work, I like to call them anniversary gifts. LOL"
Well... seeing as we're already on the topic... and out of curiosity, does anyone happen to know why it's called a BLOWjob? I mean, naturally not speaking as a native speaker here, but the word BLOW to me has connotations of exhaling, whereas the techniques involved in the... anniversary gifts (to borrow a newly minted euphemism)... seem more in line with inhalation, making the word SUCK (also used in relation to... anniversary gifts, of course) seeming more on spot appropriate. So why the whole blow? Where does it come from? And who'd want to be, you know, literally "blown"?
And moving on to different pastures, as the thread does...
Brian, love those new photos of Michael.

I agree. Although there is something to be said for public preaching one thing and practicing another. As Geoff put it, if you can't keep your marriage vow, you might want to clam up on something like sanctity on marriage. Leave to another guy or gal, one who actually practices what he/she preaches, you know. And double standards are worthwhile considering in terms of politics. Sure there can be idealized positions that we talk for in terms of hoping to reach them, but speaking of certain things that are actually one way or the other and not having your own feet on the ground you favour, that's just hypocritical.
(And just to emphasize and avoid mistake, I'm by no means saying any of this applies to Den Mother Jodi. In any way. Are we crystal?)

Joakim are you talking about my secret affair with George Lucas? I don't care what you say, I am not going to stop having mind sex with him.

Jodi, we have a slide like that here at a water park near Baton Rouge, and
it is AWESOME! It really is scarier than it looks. Just suck it in an do it, you
will love it.
I understand about chickening out though. When I was a kid I was
mortified of anything that went upside down, now I pretty much will ride
anything. There is one exception, and I don't even call it a ride. It's this
slingshot thing, almost like a reverse bungee jump, where they strap two
people into this god-awful two seater abomination of welding
construction, they hold the contraption down on the ground, with two
bungee ropes on each side, which are raised to something like 10 stories
high on opposing cranes. Once they bungees are as high as they can go,
and taught, they release the steel abomination, and fling you in the air.
That's is just one thrill I can really live without.
I love the weenie-dog Peter! I want one one day.
