So it's 'yes', then, is it?

Wanting to have kids is not crazy -- its what they do to you after you have them that drives you crazy!

The idea of being a parent sounds nice, but it requires a great commitment and responsibility. I'm like my partner, i don't want kids. I'm happy with my dog, my cat and maybe with another dog that my partner is trying to rescue. She went under an intervention last week, because she had a tumor in her mouth the size of a burger. She's recovering very fast. I gotta take some pics of her.

I think people who want to be parents are brave and I could totally
understand the biological longing to want to have something that is of you
and something that is completely yours, metaphorically speaking of course.

if you could have a bromance with any male celebrity (non-sports figure) whom would you choose/find yourself drawn to?

This is a tricky one, I would have to say I would very much like to hang out with Michael Caine.  He just seems so fun, I bet his stories are top drawer.

Also, the idea of parenting, and having to know where and what your child is doing 24/7 absolutely terrifies me."

I am right there with you buddy, I have always, and always will love babies....

Here is a latest shot of my granddaughter that just turned 10 months old.
enjoy...

Don - would you believe I've been pondering Marc's bromance question for
a day now and Micheal Caine is the one I keep coming back to as well? Wow.

Maybe I should just have a bromance with you. You know, so long as you
don't mind that I'm going to get all weepy when you talk about your kids
and your granddaughter... I'm a big emotional sap when it comes to that
whole side of things.

No, it's not crazy.

Maybe it is if you don't have enough money.

My bromance would be Brendan Fraser.

Every parent eventually issues the Bill Cosby curse to his/her kids:

"May you have children that act exactly like you!"

And, as Cosby noted, this curse works.

My parents gave that curse to my older brother.  He was colicky and screaming for the first 6 months until my folks were almost out of their heads.

His firstborn?  Screaming and colicky for the first 6 months.
