Being able to say that I make my living as a writer was quite simply a dream
come true for me, Tom.

I wish you every success, and my every hope that the living you make at it is
much better than mine!

Happy Monday bitches!!!

Ugh, that bug doesn't even look real Jodi! I'd much rather deal with a
roach than those. Of course, living in the swamp here, our roaches are
huge. Like you throw something at them, and then you've given them a
weapon.

One was in the kitchen last week and I still scream like a little school girl
every time I see one. They just appear out of nowhere, on any surface and
are just there spreading their god-knows-what germs on
everything. It's so gross.

This is how bad the roaches are here: A few years ago when I was living
with my ex, I was going to the bathroom, and when I went to grab some
toilet paper, I noticed two "hairs" sticking out of the cardboard tube,
while the role was on the dispenser bar. I was thinking "why is their hair
there?". It was a huge 3" cockroach, just relaxing in I guess what it
thought was a safe dark area. I was creative, and took my hand and
squeezed the whole role of toilet paper, therefore crushing the roach,
and ruining a perfect role of toilet paper. There is nothing worse I think
that having to deal with bugs of any sort in the bathroom. Because when
you are trying to kill the bug, you are in one of the most vulnerable states
possible, naked among other unmentionable personal thing. Ughghgh!!!

Oh, just to give you an idea of how cajun country specific an area I live in,
on my way home, I have to drive along a canal/swamp area that follows a
little highway to my gym, I usually see one or two alligators a day in the
summers on my trip homes.

SERIOUS!

I don't know how I would feel about that, Moyer. On one hand, it would be neat to see real alligators out in the wild. Heck, I saw a deer over the weekend and got excited about that.

On the other hand, alligators scare the dickens out of me. So maybe I don't want to see one up close!

Jodi, that centipede is freaky looking. I found (and thankfully, was able to kill) a black widow spider on our patio a few weeks back. It freaked me out so much that I had trouble getting to sleep that night.

Best of luck, Tom.  I know some of us will be living vicariously through you with your writing success.

Had my first "waterbug" aka cockroach of the season in my room last night.

Yikes!  That thing looks like some sort of alien!

We did a couple laps -- it was bigger than last year (more gay sub-groups) ... and headed home.  "You think we can skip Pride next year?" Eric asked.

I'm going to NY Pride this year because my friend who never gets to go due to an annual conference will be able to make it.  He's excited about it so why not.  But then a friend on Facebook just posted photos of Boston Pride and it has such a "same old, same old" feel about it  for me that now I don't wanna go.

I will not, however, make the mistake I made the last time I went and wear a white t-shirt.  I had a hot dog with ketchup and spent the rest of the day with ketchup stains.

The mistake was eating a hot dog with ketchup.  Thats just plain wrong.  And I thought it was against the law in the five boroughs . . . .

Okay I admit it, I am excited about the Tuesday surprise...

Good luck Tom...You clearly have talent, I would like to see more.

Keep the pride, forget the parade.

Not gay but definitely a foodie!  And children eat hot dogs with ketchup.  A Hot Dog should be eaten with mustard, kraut and cooked onions, espescially in New York.  If he had mustard stains I'd say "Wear 'em with pride!"

Arc I work after my son goes to bed, I have always been a late night person. I feel most awake after 10pm. I was heading to bed and I always check the forum to see if all is well.
