I remember one the posters for the original film had Harry Hamlin wearing almost nothing.  My 9-year-old brain almost exploded.

I was fascinated by Greek Myths at the time but never saw this when it came out.

Who else read this book as their Greek Myth bible?  I'm thrilled to still see it in print.

Ed, that was my Greek Myth text from Middle School.

And I've yet to see Clash of the Titans. There's a lot of classic film that I have yet to watch.

I am now addicted to Geometry Wars. It's available for Wii as well but i play it on PC (i think it's originally for the Xbox). Love the retro look and feel of the game

The other game i keep playing a lot is Eve Online ("old" game trailer)

Moyer I don't mind sharing Sam Worthington, i'm not jealous :)

That was the very first book that I checked out when I got a library card in elementary school.

Geoff,

I don't think he was!!!  I'm so sad now.

On another note, so I GOOGLE this Sam Worthington guy... and click IMAGES... and find my world not the least bit "rocked."

I've always been a huge fan of Greek mythology. In fact, not I'm learning Ancient Greek and my teacher always gets surprised when I talk about history of mythology. I'm not an expert but I've read a lot about it.

The people who did the Greek myths book also did a Norse myths one that was less popular, maybe because they all die at the end.

Pardon my nerves, I was just at the DMV this morning.

Arc, I'm also a huge fan of Greek Mythology.  I've been reading mythology books since I was very little.  I suppose that's what maybe brought me to comics - an example of the modern mythology.

Studying ancient history and mythology was always more exciting to me than watching some overpaid millionaires play a child's game (hence not much of a sports fan as a kid).  I have several different books on mythology, the d'Aulaire book I remember fondly from my youth.

The artistry inspired by myths is truly wonderful.  I've seen some of the ancient temples and mosaics when I was in Italy.  Greece is on my list of places to see.
