You know the problem with your (ex)guy?  He was cute, unlike most of the ancient congressional staff caught in DC.  Also, your boy had a consistant lover -- cute himself -- not some prostitute/crystal addict floating around the toilets here in our nation's capital.

He had both Tom.  He had Golan who, in the wake of 9/11 he appointed our director of Homeland Security (his qualification, officially, was that he was Israeli -- I kid you not).  But the governor being gay was a very "open" secret.  If you knew a State Trooper you knew that.  You also knew he went to rest stops and the like.  I think since he came out he has admitted to going to rest stops for anonymous sex but I am not 100% on that.  Many (including me) feel he used his "outing" for political reasons and self preservation.  His administration was exceedingly corrupt.  My friends in the gay community here have a great deal of contempt for the former governor.

No, don't get me wrong. For me, age is not a factor. I'm ok with my 30s+, and i don't miss my 20s. I agree that i'm better now than 3+ years ago.

My partner has told me he saw in his friends the "40 years old" crisis. The period where you try to reafirm your masculinity and start dating young people and cheating on partners....that's why i asked, i wanted your opinion and experience.

No -- can you believe it?  Longest gay DC relationship -- EVER!

I'll tell you what's making things great right now -- Eric's on a hot sales streak.  True, the real estate market is "happening" right now.  He's crazy busy!  And you know what I say to that?  You go, boy!

(Also, we've so far strayed from the intent of this thread, it's kind of funny.  Feels like a bunch of friends around the coffee table.  Gnosh?)

What's so great about being young?

-------------

I wholeheartedly agree... I would never repeat the emotional, traumatic,
hectic, financially unstable, confusing time as my 20s!

Well you know.....they'll just turn the kid into another gay person, cause that's how it works, right??

And by the way Kevin......it's not jackass.......it's hammerhead.
