I live just a mere 15 miles from NYC. In fact you can see the New York skyline from our back windows -- Midtown to be precise!

AH! I lasted for seven months at a job at the East Orange Public Library a few years ago. There was a shooting/violent incident every night when I had to work late.

I consider Gravenhurst my true hometown, even though I was born
in Guelph and raised in Hillsburgh until I was 9.
Have lived in Hillsburgh, Meaford, Gravenhurst, Whitby, Brampton,
Mississauga, Gravenhurst again, and now, for the time being, New Hamburg.
All in Ontario.

I work in Newark. The Bloods "own" the apartment complex next to my office so I know all about violence.
Wouldn't know it from my neighboorhood though, ah suburbia!
If its all the stops along the way . . .
Born in Norristown, Pa. Lived in Gulph Mills, Pa until I was 2.5, moved to Freehold, NJ for two years. Then lived in South Orange, NJ from 1978-1996. From 1992-1996 most of my time was spent at Villanova University, Villanova, Pa. In the Summer of 1995 I lived in Galway Ireland. After college, halfway through the first year of law school I lived back home with my folks in South Orange, but I then moved into a railroad apartment with a buddy on the Upper East Side. In 1999 my clerkship required I move back to NJ -- where I met my wife. After the clerkship I wanted to move back into the city -- she didn't -- guess who won? I've lived in West Orange ever since.
