I'd miss that too.  As it is, I am typing to you wearing a shirt that I spilled baked beans on earlier and then still went out afterward to hang out in a cafe.

God no!  That's so SpencerGifts.

I only liked SpencerGifts because they had "naughty" birthday cards with nearly naked men.  I used to tell myself when I was older, I'd buy all those cards and keep em.  Never did because the 80s tackiness ended before that could happen.

Jodi, I don't want to reveal anything you don't want to, but was this the bona fide original "Dark Shadows" run (1966-71) or one of its many repeated cycles that local stations would pick up?  "Shadows" is the only American daytime soap that was ever in reruns - or pre-80s exists in its entirety

OK since I love you all I will fess up , it was the original series, my last birthday I turned.......gulp.................50.............

It has only taken me 8 months to own it. But I JUST DON"T FEEL FIFTY!!!!!!!ARGH!!!!!!!!!

OK I am better.

Awww Ed that is why I love you guys! I get middle 30's a lot, I think it is because I hate laying out in the sun, so I have never tanned a bunch and my hair is still the same color as it was when I was a kid. My grandmother died when she was ninety and she didn't have a gray hair.

It's easy to see that you've given fifty the finger, Jodi.

I hate laying out in the sun as well.  It's boring.  I'm not a beach person.   Hell, I'm not a summer person. And I've been moisturizing like a fiend since I turned 30.  But my skin does look okay.

Thanks Talley . It was so funny when I brought Jonathan back from LA we stopped in Vegas and I was watching Jonathan play poker and there was a guy next to Jonathan that looked to be 30 something and he had been talking to Jonathan and I.  He leaned back to tell me something and the guy next to him goes "hey if you want to talk to your girlfriend get up from the table." Jonathan looks horrified and goes "Jesus that's my MOM!"  I had to laugh.

Ed I am like you, I am so not a beach person for laying out, it bores me to death. I love the beach for walking and some getting thrown around in the surf, but mostly I just love going on the beach in regular summer clothes and look for shells.

When we went to Charleston last summer we found a ton of sand dollars which was so fun. I would love to find a beach that wasn't very populated and find some big shells.

I never would have thought you were 50, Jodi. And that story about your son was too funny.
