Once there was a thread, Arc. A thread populated with picture after picture of beautiful women in various stages of dress....all tasteful. The boobies....ah, the boobies. But then the plastic creeped in...and the debate raged.....and things started to crumble. Then there were those that pushed the boundaries of good taste....and just like that, it was over. But it is not gone, and it will surely never be forgotten.....for BOYS WILL BE BOYS.

Arc, and because some of us were feeling a bit left out, we got permission to start a wonderful "BOYS WILL LIKE BOYS" thread, which we've mentioned here before. That's where many of us first found one another.
I do remember some board member - and I've honestly forgotten their name - came onto the gay thread once and chastised us for it. If I could have reached through the screen and pulled somebody out to pummel, that would have been the person.

Jodi, I don't want to reveal anything you don't want to, but was this the bona fide original "Dark Shadows" run (1966-71) or one of its many repeated cycles that local stations would pick up? "Shadows" is the only American daytime soap that was ever in reruns - or pre-80s exists in its entirety.
I was a soap fiend. Was? I still am. In high school, I'd run home from the bus every day to watch "As the World Turns." In my defense, the headwriter in that era was a man whose writing for soaps was as dazzling and talented as JB on comics. That is, he was somebody who understood the characters, the show, the medium and wasn't afraid to have a show go back to its roots for compelling stories rather than go for gimmicks.
Now, I watch "The Young and the Restless" every day while looking for work. Yes, Victor is STILL on the show. For some reason, people always ask about Victor.

I sort of remember all of us giving that board member many tongue lashings
if I recall Ed.. that was a fun thread. This one is pretty much a continuation
of that it seems, but my ex William Lukash doesn't really talk to us here
anymore.
That boob shot is just sort of creepy...talk about lift and separate!

I think it was just ended, Arc. I wasn't around much then but I know that it lasted several months longer than the other one. I think the time finally came to just close it.
