I've never been a Looney Tunes person, and I don't know why.  I love Disney but they're not really Saturday morning.

I do remember that, just to show what a wuss I was, the whole "Kill the Wabbitt" cartoon made me burst into tears at the end, despite the "what did you expect, a happy ending?" kicker. I haven't seen the cartoon since and haven't wanted to even though I like Wagner.

Ed, I have great love for Disney, but Warner Bros had the sarcasm and irreverence that sung to my soul.

I do love me some "Kill the Wabbit" but for me, even funnier, are the series of three cartoons where Bugs and Daffy argue over what hunting season it is.

"I'm a Fiddler Crab!  Why don't you shoot me?  It's Fiddler Crab Season!  I love the smell of burnt feathers, and gunpowder, and cordite..."

My brother was born the same year as Moyer, and while that's only a four year difference, it was enough for him to get into all those afternoon cartoons in the 80s like Voltron, Thundercats, He-Man, Transformers, GI Joe, She Ra and whatever other toys they were selling.

Speaking of GI Joe, in the 60s and 70s, he was this guy in fatigues and a beard.  How'd the name get co-opted?

Good catch Pedro!!! One free butt grope when and if I ever meet you for
reals.

-------
woof!

since everybody's sharing cartoons, here are some of my all time favorite (for extra gropes I'm linking the vids in the language I originally watched, might be fun to watch):

Les Mysterieuses Cités d'Or (French original)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeFcXUOqld0

Tom Sawyer (Portuguese version)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FBvqLaAYeU

Dartacan y los tres mosqueperros (don't even know if this show was spanish but we got it dubbed in Portuguese)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWwvVwxySEE

Era uma vez o espaço (Portuguese version for Il etait une fois... l'espace. The original french song is a lot better, but i got a soft spot for this one :))

Ulysse 31 (french original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxlNw-vz7l8

Mirai Shonen KONAN (Future Boy Conan or Conan boy in the future, by Hayao Miyazaki, in the Original Japanese)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhNErIJI9Zg

Les mondes Engloutis (ok i didn't like this one when i was a kid cause the art, animation and story was so weird, but i like it a lot now, original french)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cDoHH37FMk

There's also this one i hated when i was a kid but i think i'd love now:
Marco Polo (Italian version)

This cartoon used animation and real life images

Nowadays I watch family guy, simpsons and futurama. I enjoyed Ren & Stimpy and cow and chicken.

I've got all six of the Golden Collections of Looney Tunes and quite a few of the Disney tins of their cartoons. I love them both for different reasons. I think Tom's right. Looney Tunes had a certain oomph to them that Disney didn't.

My favorites were always the Daffy spoofs of tv shows and movies. Duck Dodgers is one of the greatest cartoons ever made.

He-Man, a muscular blonde man running around in a tiny fur Speedo.  I never saw the movie but Dolph Lundgren was well cast physically.

Panthro was such a daddy!!!

I had 100 He-Man figures before I sold them. I still have all my
Transformers (G1) and Go-Bots.

How could I forget Animaniacs? That show was hysterical. Pinky and the
Brain...

My second favorite Disney movie is "Sleeping Beauty" which has to be one of the most gorgeous animated movies ever.

Moyer, did you have the skunk He-Man character that smelled like one?

Yeah I had him! And Moss-Man, who smelled like...not moss... He was
basically the mold for Beast-man, but with a light forest green fuzz all over
his body.

I never thought of He-Man sexually, well, not much really, but I was
obsessed with taking his harness on and off for some reason. Wonder what
would have happened if you could have removed his furry speedo?
