"Robot Chicken" is great, gives me a good laugh.  My Tivo usually records a few so sometimes I'll watch a few in a row.

I miss "Futurama", haven't enjoyed "The Simpsons" in years.  The one where Alan Moore guest starred was amusing, but only the plot involving the comicbook store.  The plot about Marge owning a gym was a reminder as to why I stopped watching it.

"Family Guy" has been more "miss" than "hit" with me lately.

Classic Looney Tunes are wonderful though they wouldn't be able to air today with all the self-righteous "think of the children" people saying they're too violent.  Tell you what, when politicians start dealing with real violence, then maybe they can deal with cartoon violence.  I may be a bit screwed up, but cartoons had nothing to do with that.  If anything, they spurred my imagination.

Oh crud, "Foster's Home" - how could I have forgotten that?  I have the first two seasons on DVD and wish they'd bring out more.  I LOVE that show.  It's so clever and funny without being crude.

And the late "Samurai Jack" and "Powerpuff Girls" are two favorites.

It's true, I think the last 6 or 7 years have not been good for the Simpsons. But I always watch the re runs.

That was a good one. Also liked 2 Stupid Dogs. Hey! Arnold was another favorite.

I used to call Jeff Van Gundy "Gargamel."

I was a big fan of Thundar The Barbarian, the Superfriends ('natch!), Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends and the "Hanna Barbara Heroes" like Birdman, the Herculoids, Blue-Falcon and Dynomutt, if it was remotely super-heroey I was onboard!

I still remember that Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends cartoon, I remember I used to watch a lot of old cartoons in Cartoon Network such as Herculoids. Or the old FF series.

I am still nuts over South Park... I have the first 7 seasons on DVD and
they are in heavy rotation if I don't fall asleep to Family Guy before bed.

I think my all time fave is the Kitty Orgy one. Cartman is being babysat by
Stan's older bitchy sister, Shelly. Shes 11 or 12, and her boyfriend who is
a 21 year old loser comes by to hang out and make out with her. He has a
real shitty band he's in. Cartman in the meantime is reenacting scenes
from the awful Wild Wild West movie with Will Smith. His kitty is in heat
and driving him nuts, on top of the bitchy Shelly. The kitty gets out of the
house and is scouring alley ways looking for something, anything, to
have it's way with her. She tries to get it on with a morbidly obese cat and
it just doesn't work out. She ends up bringing a cat orgy to Cartman's
house while Cartman and Shelly are getting revenge on Shelly's boyfriend.

It ends with Cartman throwing CatNip all over the boyfriend and the cats
mauling the boyfriend.

But I always had a thing for anime series such as Saint Seiya and stuff like that. And I used to watch that as a kid too.

Saturday Morning Cartoons?  Sign me up!  I'm sorry I haven't checked in on this thread all afternoon.

I was a child of the 70's, too.  Scooby-Doo (when we "played" scooby-doo as kids, I was always Shaggy.  It's like the other kids KNEW...) Super-Friends (all incarnations), Tarzan, Shazam!, Isis, Sigmund/Seamonsters, Lidsville, HR Puffenstuff (my friend when things got rough) -- and of course, the grandaddy of them all....

Overture, curtain, lights!
This is it -- tonight's the night!
No more rehearsing, or nursing a part
We know every part by heart!

Overture, curtain, lights!
This is it -- we'll hit the heights!
And oh, what heights we'll hit!
On with the show, this is it!

One of the best concert experiences of my life was when I saw BUGS BUNNY ON BROADWAY at Wolftrap back in, like '90 or '91 (It was touted as the "90's way to watch animation") -- imagine: a life orchestra in front of a huge projection screen.  They showed classic Bugs and the orchestra played live!  It was AMAZING!  From the moment the conductor ascended the podium and we were all chanting, "Leopold!  Leopold!" I knew I was in heaven!

The 80's:

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe  (woof!)
The Simpsons shorts on the Tracey Ullmann Show

Then came the glorious 90's and the rebirth of children's animation:

Animaniacs (STILL an all-time favorite)
Tiny Toons
Batman
Superman
Ren & Stimpy
The Simpsons (the first five seasons)

The only problem was, it wasn't on Saturday Mornings anymore...But afternoons, for all the stoners...
