My 45 year old friend (male) is so taken with those Jonas brothers.  He finds the younger two completely adorable - and they are.

My sister is MAD about those guys. I tease her by saying "they don't play their own instruments" and "that's not their real hair"

My niece who is 19 had the biggest crush on Lance Bass. Poster of him ALL
over her room, as well as the other N'Sycner's. But she loved loved loved
Lance.

I would tease her relentlessly that he was gay, and she would have none of
it. Needless to say she was devastated by his coming out a few years ago. Is
it wrong for an uncle to gloat?

I think gloating is fine.  If, while growing up, you'd even suggest a certain celeb was gay, people would shout you down.

Here are some of the celebs I questioned:

- Elton John
- George Michael
- Greg Louganis
- Jim J. Bullock

Even more annoying?  Once you're out, the people who suck their teeth and say, "You think EVERYONE'S gay!"  even though I've never thought that about Jack Nicholson, Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Will Ferrell, Owen Wilson, Ray Romano - and the list goes on.

There are just certain celebs who, even if they flat out deny it, "ping."

Lord, thank god none of those guys are gay! I wouldn't want them on our
team.

And how do you like this nearly 80 year old painting done by Paul Cadmus of his lover who Jerry - get ready for it - French!  Yes, another French.  What a timeless painting and I love that he's reading the original binding of "Ulysses."

A guy I knew in college would sometimes have people ask him if he was gay.  He had a good retort - "Does it matter?"  That usually shut some people up.
