By the way, a lot of folks from this thread stopped and commented on my
Facebook Status in the last day, and provided me with some much needed
laughter with your wit. Thanks, everyone!

I will be flying to L.A. tomorrow and staying about a 3 days then I will be driving back to Indiana. Jon and I are taking a week to drive home, we are going to see some of our beautiful western states, do a little gambling in "Vegas Baby!". We are not going to hurry, we are going to really take in some of this wonderful country. You all have an amazing week and a half, while I am away.
And David, Congrats on the 6 years!

The Bishop calling gay marriage a "pervsion of natural law" really should look up the saying "people in glass houses..."

I've been kind of worried today and I don't know if I should say this, but there is a French guy in one of my classes... He is quite cute and for some reason he started to talk to me just right after he read a story of mine. The story has some very subtle homoerotic subtext, and most people couldn’t notice it. So he started talking to me a few weeks ago, and I thought it was maybe because he was gay too and that’s how he understood the story (unlike most people). So today I overheard him talking in French to another French guy and I could have sworn he said something about his ex boyfriend. Of course, I might be absolutely getting it wrong (I'm not fluent in French after all) and maybe I'm just building a fantasy about a guy I like, which is something I have done so many times before. But what if I’m not wrong? Should I try to find out about it? Any advices you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Arc:
I never picked up a guy, but I've picked up my fair share of girls and I can tell you no matter what signals are being sent you'll never know for sure unless you talk to him. He sought you out to talk about your story that indicates he at least interested in talking with you -- maybe he just wants to be pals, maybe he wants something more. Invite him for a cup of coffee or a drink, or see if he wants to study with you and then chat him up. The worst thing he can do is say no. But you won't know for sure until you talk with him. Shoot, the first time I asked my wife out she shot me down. Nine years and two kids laters I cannot imagine how my life would be different without her. It certainly would not be better. And thats all cause I took the chance to ask her to talk with me.
So, in other words, its time to man up brother!

Make sure to stop at Wallyworld. Enjoy Vegas! Its a testament to American Decadence! And no matter what Jon tells you the Bunny Ranch does not, in fact, have bunnies there. Well, not rabbits at least . . . .

I say talk to him, you have nothing to lose. At the very least he likes your writing, or is intrigued by it. You me gain a new friend or even better, he may be warm for your form. Like Geoff said, just talk to him. Good luck, love a french accent. (no I do not mean Tom)

I've always considered myself a good french kisser!
Arc, go for it! If he says no, so what? His loss.

Well I'm the worst one at giving "grab life by the balls" advice since I'm afraid
of my own shadow, but he sounds like a nice guy regardless. Aren't the
French bi-sexual anyway?
