There's a joke been circulating among some comedians regarding Rudy Guliani's opposition to gay marriage, "Guliani believes that marriage should be between a man and a woman and some other woman and then another that comes along later on".  I find it difficult to listen to him, Gingrich and others talk about the sancity of marriage when they committed adultery.

Congrats on your upcoming anniversary, Tom!  You've lasted longer than a straight friend of mine's marriage did.

Gingrich and others talk about the sancity of marriage when they committed adultery.

After serving his first wife divorce papers as she lay in the hospital dying of cancer, you'd think he couldn't get lower, right? 

His adultery was no secret -- he flaunted her all over cap hill -- but make no mistake, his wife had a side fling of her own.  She was wise enough to keep him in Ohio, though, at a safe, discreet distance.  Not so much Newt.

But Newt recently converted to Catholicism, and was absolved of his old sins.  He's clean and clear now!   Ready for a run in 2012...

I dunno...maybe people are getting too worked up about this Swine Flu business. But the fear is that if it starts spreading quickly, it'll be too late to control it and it becomes a pandemic.

One bit of good news is that after the SARS and Avian Flu scares, the world seems far better prepared for this kind of thing. It seems like government health agencies have been pretty on-the-ball about containing this. Plus, I think the general public is far better educated about these flu strains than they were 5 or 10 years ago.

That's the "Nurture Method" of teaching, Moyer.  I'm too traditional...
