Well, I watched my little sister go off to Junior Prom with her boyfriend. She wore this glorious copper colored dress that we got in Mexico City from this fashion boutique, and well, she had to have been the prettiest girl there. Of course, I'm biased. I had friends over to discuss the LARP I'll be running soon, and spent today preparing some cars for sale.

Jesus, I'm sure you'll find something soon.

Read a couple of books. Drew a couple of strips. Spring cleaned the back room. Read a pile of comics. Busy as all get out.

And today I...

Worked all weekend. And it rained so much, I wondered if it was my turn to build the Ark. So those of you that had beautiful weekends, count yourselves lucky. I'm glad someone got to enjoy it.

Other than that, I'm playing a lot of Fallout 2 with the added content that some industrious fan has decided to make available for free(including a type-2 Phaser at the Shuttlecraft crash sight; its just a laser pistol with a different skin, and yet its still cool).
Now I'm just hoping to be able to go to bed soon...

I spent way too much time worrying about influenza.

Today, in the 90 degree heat, my friend and I took the train down to Princeton.  I'd never ridden one of the new double decker NJ Transit trains but even the new technology made me remember why I hate NJ Transit so much.  The train CRAWLED from New York to Princeton and easily added 40 minutes to the trip.

But once there, it was gorgeous out.  The boys were gorgeous and often shirtless.  The campus is as gorgeous as it was when I used to drive down from where I was in grad school at Rutgers and hang out in town.

Then I came home and watched "The Red Balloon."

And now to make my problems seem really miniscule, I wanted to give a shout out to our friends Juan Jose and Victor in Mexico City.  I see Juan just responded earlier but I'm thinking of you guys during this difficult time.  What's the worst - the not knowing or the boredom?

I worked all weekend and managed to get another 3 model kits off my workbench.

Boy you said a mouthful! Last year I took the train from work in Newark to
Pt. Pleasant where my wife picked me up. It was a Friday night high shore
traffic but I swear it would have been faster to drive! The only thing that
made it better was (1) the beers I drank on the train and (2) not having 2
cars to drive home sunday night with two kids under 4!

Oh and Geoff, the best part?  The fact that between New Brunswick and Princeton Junction, the train came to a complete standstill for twenty minutes.  The reason?  Weekend track workers had apparently taken a break for lunch and left equipment on the tracks.

This weekend Chuck tried to kill me, by making me help put up a fence to keep our climbing/digging dog from escaping out of our yard. We now have a yard so secure we are thinking about keeping inmates from Gitmo to boost our income.  I told Chuck next weekend if we build a nice waterboarding pool , we will be all set.

Seriously my mom never did any yard work....ever.....nor his mom, but nooooooo workhorse Jodi can do it. Do I sound bitter?????  What was the worse part I am having the worst allergies and I can not breath thru my nose, well the pollen is off the chart outside, it got up into the middle 80's and we were in the dog's area, which I am highly allergic to most dogs. I honestly got to the point I couldn't catch my breath and I felt like Red Foxx on Sanford and Sons when he faked a heart attack. But I wasn't faking.

I am glad I am not a pampered woman, my dad spoiled me, when I married Chuck it forced me to grow up, most times I don't mind doing heavy lifting and hard work. In fact one of my favorite things to do is use a hammer and build stuff. But this weekend it kicked my butt.

Oh and:

I spent way too much time worrying about influenza.

My dad came over for dinner today and explained he watched 3 shows, one about the expected CA earthquake, the active valcano in Yellowstone that is going to blow any minute and the pandemic possible flu hitting CA. Jonathan can not get home soon enough.
