Tom: On the whole, I like the buzz-cut look, but a fade or high-n-tight works really well on me (makes everyone think I'm a cop).

Somewhere, Moyer is having a fantasie about being arrested by Tom....

I change my appearance a lot, different configurations of facial hair, fully
buzzed head, high-n-tight (like right now), fade. Whenever I'm bored or
lazy (or both)...

---------

I'm the same... I'm in "high-n-tite" mode with no chin hair, but a month
ago I had pretty much no hair, and a chin goatee. I haven't done the soul
patch in a while... maybe time for that soon.

Going to the barber, with the old clip art wallpaper, worn leather chairs,
and scuffed floors is just the best. I love when they slap that warm leather
cream on your neck and pull out a REAL razor... so exciting!

It's funny to see the Farrah Fawcett hair coming back. I love Farrah
Fawcett hair.

I love Farrah Fawcett hair.

Looks terrible on me.  I learned a few lessons in the 70's...

Bwah! Looks terrrible on ANY guy, and I've seen quite a few out here. I don't
get it.

One guy was walking so careful not to move his head, since he had THE
perfect Farrah Fawcett going on. I don't like to laugh at people, since I've
sooo been there, but I had to chuckle. It looked ridiculous.

My students are all into long, careless hair again -- this is the first time in my life I've noticed a "retro" thing that I'd actually lived through the first time.  So when I see these young guys in the gym or the club with these ridiculous hair-dos, looking at ME like I'm the bizarro because my haircut's so "last week," I get that chuckle that all middle-aged men get when they see the youth making fools of themselves.

What will the next generation do to offend and horrify their parents?

the return of the mohawk (now called the "faux hawk" -- what an improvement!) brought a bit of a shudder to me.  If I wanted to look like a rooster, I'd strut around with my cock out...

wait a minute...

I had the faux hawk a couple years ago, and stopped promptly upon looking
at a snapshot of myself out one night with friends. It was ridiculously large...
