Tom,
One of the joys and one of the sorrows of teaching(much the same for parenting really) is getting to see the students grow and change over time.  Every June is a very bittersweet time for my wife as her students leave her to go on to Junior High.
It's funny she still has students that come back a visit her, and borrow books from her.

On the vacation News front.  My family is planning on visiting Washington DC from July 10-July 15.  We will be staying at the Melrose.  I understand that it's near Foggy Bottom, whatever that is.  I certainly hope you will be in town that week.

Tom Selleck is a hairy beast..but what a man! Surprised I never had a crush
on him. Maybe it was the mustache? I love goatees and chin hair, but never
took to mustaches...hmm

Weird, Moyer.  I never had a crush on Selleck either.  I wasn't turned on by the mustache either, or beards.  I didn't start to like facial hair until I was older but Selleck still doesn't do it for me.

Me neither, I like him though as an actor, just sort of indifferent. And he just
looks so weird when he shaves his mustache too.

I'm heading to Vegas with my folks for the weekend. I'll putz about the strip watching my younger siblings, and probably spend five bucks playing blackjack and lose them all. Have a fun weekend everyone, and don't work too hard!

I agree with you both...I think that he was the first hairy man that i spotted on tv as a kid. Put me nervous at that age. And i don't like men with mustaches...but you can see him shaved and mustache-less in the movie "IN & OUT". He looks very handsome there.

He's the personification of the late '70's, isn't he?  Never much cared for him, either, unless in cowboy outfits.  In leather chaps, he's kind of hot...

I associate him more with the early 80s Tom... isn't that when Magnum P.I.
was at its peak?

'80 to '89 according to Google.  Funny, I wonder what causes that connection for me?  Maybe because he looks like every other gay man in the '70's -- the Village People, for example...
