With Brian on top 'crush' is definitely the right word.

Yeah Geoff... I love Paul Rudd and Stiffler, despite his flat butt. I'm not a big
KISS fan, but I think Sean William Scott nailed the explanation on their
popularity.

The new Paul Rudd movie I Love You Man looks really funny too.

Moyer, that guy has a hint of Christian Bale to me.

You're right David, definite Christian Bale look there. Maybe I'll see him at
my gym again on Sunday.

McLovin was pretty good in that movie as well.  And who doesn't like Elizabeth Banks?  And let me add Jane Lynch is a genius.  I thought the hot dog gag was lame but she made it funny.  I've never seen her in a movie where she failed to delight.  My all time favorite Jane Lynch movie is A Mighty Wind.  Fuckin' genius.

Jane Lynch is like the cherry on top... little, but the best part. I liked her in
Best In Show, my first exposure to her and Jennifer Coolidge.

So, I just got called into the Principal's Office.  Apparently, one of my fellow teachers didn't like the way I responded to her the other day and, rather than come talk to me about it, decided to involve my administrator, claiming she's "scared of me" because I'm so "aggressive."

After I apologized, she launched into a litany of insignificant, trivial compaints about me and things I've said in the Faculty Room that have "offended" her.  (Which is causing me to riff on the nature of being offended, but that's a discussion for later.)  Things like, "My first year here, you said THIS to me and it offended me" kind of nonsense.

That's when I lost my temper.  I confess, I kind of went off on her, her claims that I don't respect her or what she teaches (Which I refuted, telling her I respect the subject she teaches).  It's true, I told her, I don't like her.  But I don't see why I have to like or respect her for us to work together.

Does anyone else have a co-worker that they just can't stand.  How do you all deal with that?

Damn Tom... I would have zero tolerance for a trouble maker like that.

I tell my boss daily that I can't stand him...

I've had too many like that. I had a boss for years who was a small minded
officious micromanaging prick, who desperately wanted everyone who
worked for him to like him. I didn't.

It didn't stop me from doing my job with excellence and dedication.

I just don't get people like that.

Maybe why I work for myself now.

She was clearly trying to get me in trouble and it back-fired on her.  That's the only good to come out of it.  Worse, she's leaving at the end of the year.

I felt badly about it for a while.  It's been YEARS since I've lost my temper like that.

I've had at least one in every job I've had.  Generally, I grin and bear it and focus on the job.  Its worse when its a client you can't stand.

I felt badly about it for a while.

And thats why you are a good guy, Tom.  But from the sound of it you shouldn't waste your guilt on that woman. Sounds to me she got what she deserved.
