Geoff,
You make some very astute about aging and fatherhood, and the slow change and adaptations that must be made. It is truly sad how many men don't seem to be able to make the move.
I am sure you're still quite fun, it's just that Daddy fun is a different kind of fun.

She looked awesome I thought but you can't make someone see themselves as you do.
This is just so true, there are times when I wish I could I let my wife see herself through my eyes...the brightness is almost blinding, she is my inspiration, and the reason i get up each morning. I think she would be surprised.
That being said, there are moments....the other day i made my wife stop the car because I saw a young girl on the corner, obviously unable to catch her pet rabbit...Rolling down the window, I asked the girl if she needed some help. "Yes, Please." she replied.
I quickly managed to scoop up the bunny and return her to her owners waiting arms.
When I returned to the car, my wife had tears in eyes and swept me into her arms with a kiss...It was a moment that I saw myself with her eyes.
Thanks for the post Geoff. And if you think being a Dad is cool, wait for Granpa status..."I'm Poppy, I do what I want."

Thats such a sweet story Geoff.
I hope to make it to San Diego again this year, Pensacola for a long
weekend, and me and my partner are talking about maybe the Virgin Islands
or Key West. Don't know about that yet.
