Well, here I am officially on Spring Break this week!  Hooray, no driving to work -- that's right, I have work RIGHT HERE to do instead!  Clean the gutters, paint the great hall, snake the kitchen sink pipe, all the great fun of home ownership!

Anybody feel like visiting?  I've got beer...

Me, too!  Believe it or not, FRENCH is an Irish name!  My crazy "talks to spirits/ psychic" Aunt is also our family geneologist and has traced the name back to 14th cent Ireland -- we emmigrated to the States during the potato famine.

Do you know the Irish version of your name, Tomás?

Mine is Daithí MacFhearghuisa.

A St. Patrick's Day gift:

Turns out the Irish is Tomás de Fréins or Tomás Frinseach.

That's fantastic!  Thanks, Fergie!  Doesn't it make sense that MY knight would have a fabulous, flowing headdress?

I'd love to come for a visit, Tom.

Okay -- can you snake my pipes, Al?  (That's the most forward thing I've ever asked...)

I'll snake your pipes like they've never been snaked before.

Will you still respect me after?

As long as my sink drains, I'll give you whatever you want.

Sadly, you can't give me the one thing I truly want.

But I'd help you with your kitchen plumbing anyway. Or you could skip it
and come here for the week. We still have skiing...

Looks like most of the Brickley's are in Cork.  I used to think that we were English, but I found out from my Grandpa that Brickley was Irish.  So I guess someday I'll have to make it to County Cork and check it out.
The only other place I know for sure about any ancestors is Sebbo, Finland.  It's outside of Helsinki and is half Swede/half Fin.  I'm on the Swede side.
