A symbol in a circle on a red flag to closely resembles a swastika to me. Nice first effort tho . . . . .

Well, it was not a swastika. The purpose was to ridicule the nazis, but it was tasteless so I removed it. Thanks, Geoff.

I didn't think the symbol itself was a swastika -- I was just concerned that the flag resembeled Nazi Germany's. I think I may have phrased it poorly, my bad, and sorry. But I didn't get the parody either.

Missed Lars's image, but Geoff's comment got me thinking of how badly the Nazi's distorted what used to be a sun symbol and a quite positive one at that. But thanks to the tendency of Hitler and his li'l gang of ****heads to appropriate and badly convert symbols to their own cause, that symbol will be forever tainted.
And WHY on earth someone with his ideology would opt to steal and use a Hinduist symbol is really way beyond my understanding. But it might of course have something to do with all those pesky blonde and blue-eyed Indians he was so fond of preaching about.

Okay, I again expose myself as a bad gay.
I don't care all that much about the Oscars. I will not host/attend an Oscar Party. How bad am I?

You're in the same boat I am. I might read about the Oscar results the next day, but otherwise nada.

I didn't realize it was this weekend until I saw Good Morning America on the way out the door this morning. I was "rooting" for The Dark Knight beyond that no interest. Hells bells they even snubbed Bruce! Any hope of getting me to watch was dashed. I'm sure my wife will have it on but I'll be reading or setting up the business plan for 1-800-GET-PORN.

We cancelled our cable a while back, so no Oscars for me, either.

I'd miss sports if we gave up our satellite provider. But whats really got to disappoint Al is that all cable providers have added a 24 hour Elizabeth Banks channel. They follow her with hidden cameras every where.
