Well, it was one of Wha-Keems, but the previous post is a short one! It took you an hour to read "And the new avatar definitely works"?

I meant previous posts, Tom! I'd been away from JBF for a while :)

Yeah, well... it doesn't get me the chicks.
For some reason, I hear Moyer answering "Peep Peep" Oh wait it's because my Internets husband has a big "Tom Crush" LOL Which strangely I do too. God Moyer we are perfect for each other, so much in common.

Strangely? I doubt it's all that difficult to figure out, Jodi...
You want Tom for his keen mind.

True dat Jodi.. true dat!
Well thank gods the holidays are finally over. I have to admit this year
wasn't that stressful, and I had a great year considering a botched move
to Chattanooga, but that is in the past. I took a great trip to NYC, but
became infected with a cold two days into my trip (no thanks to my two
infected traveling companions!)
NY is of course the most awesome city...so overwhelming! But I didn't get
to really be "on" because of my sick ass self. I swear the fates were
against my going out and really having fun in the city that never sleeps.
Not only did I get a cold, the weather was brutal cold (which I was
prepared for...a chance to pull out all my awesome jackets), but I had a
vicious nose bleed one evening, brought on no doubt from the transition
to dry air, to moist air, to dry air and back), but my ulcer decided to play
havoc with me! So naturally, I want a "do over". But I will wait for wamer
temps. Us southern boys are so fragile!
How do ya'll do it??? I think today was in the high 70s and muggy as hell.

I [heart] New York. Always have. I only had one brief moment of living there -- three months while working on a show -- but I sure did love it! And the men! The MEN! Everywhere you looked there were men! And never the same man twice!
Made DC look like amateur hour.

I know Tom!!! Thats why I'm so pissed... I went to the Eagle (which is in a
great part of town, very industrial, but sadly changing to "hawt" nightclubs
for the Jersey set).
I was like a kid in a candy store, when BAM...throat starts going from scratchy to insanely sore in a matter of minutes.

I've been to the NYC Eagle, but was only there for a fifteen minutes or so before I left with that night's playmate -- THAT was how easy it was! (Or maybe how easy I was...)

The DC Eagle is pretty good -- two floors and a balcony. But the Baltimore Eagle is the absolute WORST dive in the city. And the men who go there would probably get tossed out of the worst dive in the city.
(For those not in the know, the EAGLE is a chain of Leather Bars across the country. Most major cities have an EAGLE.)
edited to add: gay culture is notoriously youth-oriented. Men who are "past their prime" (otherwise known as 50+) have very few places to go, certainly not the discos. Many ultimately end up at the Eagle because there's no where else for them.
