Nothing serious, Jodi. Just reacting to Brian's grave news that marked the fact that this thread went a WHOLE day (yesterday) without ANY posts.
Now, let's all shape up people.  We wouldn't want the thread to get closed by simple neglect, right.  ;)

But thanks for the venting offer!  Always good to have those. :)
And ditto, of course.

As for that Mouse... Very sweet (and you're talking to a rat-/rodentphobic here) and it actually reminds me a lot of Mouse Guard (highly recommended comic, Jodi). And I'm hoping the second collection of that will be available to buy via Amazon soon.

WOW!...that's is a fantastic interpretation of Despereaux.

I managed to find your e-mail and gave you a response.

Any Special Plans for the Holiday?

I will be out of touch from Tuesday 12/23/08 until Dec 29th.  I would hate for my Gay Thread friends to worry for my welfare.  I will just be 'et up with family.  and wont be on the web much.

My soul cousin, the mighty whakeem asked:
Despereaux? What am I missing, Don?

The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo is my 9 year old daughter's favorite book.  It is also a movie coming out today.  The mouse that Jodi created on the previous page is a reproduction of of the book illustrations.  A very good reproduction.

Please take a day or two and read this book.  It is charming, and touching, and sweet, and inspiring.  Especially if you felt that you were just a bit different from the rest of the world.

Mt family and I are planning an evening of our favorite holiday films to include many animated treats as well as a few live action films.

Don

The movie looks very cute, but I have to say now that I've seen Jodi's
Despereaux, and seeing what the book illustration looks like, that I don't like
what the movie version looks like now! Dammit Jodi!
