I loved my wedding. A beautiful church, a good ceremony, me and Danielle playing a thumb war while taking our vows, dancing up the aisle together to Rhythm of my Heart by Rod Stewart and then picking her up in my arms and carrying her out of the church. Then we had a simple reception at my parent's house where all three of us brothers made the food (we're all very good cooks) and everyone had a great time. I had about a dozen people tell me it was the most fun wedding they'd ever seen. Not an elopement but as simple and as low key as we could make it.
My mother in law was harping on about me being cheap before the wedding but the priest put a kibosh on that talk (which I'm still grateful for) because he believed that it was better to not spend money you didn't have and go into debt for a wedding when a large amount of debt would add stress to the marriage. We spent about 3000 on everything (her dress, my suit, all the food, the church, the licenses and whatnot) but ended up ahead because a lot of people were generous with their presents. Because of that we have no money stress and we should be completely out of debt by summer. To my mind that's as good a way to start a life together as there can be.

I just had one of those 'God, I'm out of shape' moments. My brother wanted some free weights for Christmas so I bought him a pair of 35 pound (16 kg for those who are... let's say imperically challenged) dumbells. There was a time, not that long ago, when that was my warm up weight before heading for the fifty and sixty pound (23 kg and 27 kg) dumbells and now I could only do a couple of curls per arm. I swear they weren't that heavy a few years ago.

Yipes! Is it just me or is that just one of the weirdest sets of hairy chests combined with what seems to be a waxed chest ever? I mean I've seen people with hairy bodies before, but this guy looks so... very... ... trimmed. Around the edges. Looks all weird to me. And kinda 80s for some reason.
I'd prefer a French model for the harness. Want to see how it works with the S shield.

Btw, just for the record, I may be taking some time off-line tomorrow and
mayhap even the rest of the week (as well as quite possibly a bit next
weel as well). Just so that nobody gets needlessly worried about my
suddenly going a bit more quiet than usual. ;)
[posting this here and in "The
Progressive Rock Thread", since I figured I'd be most noticeably missed here or there - and beyond that I'm sure someone would fill in the gap. ;) ]

I know I am, but our pal Moyer has not yet taken the plunge -- perhaps when he finds the REAL Mr. Right.

Don't be bitter Marc!
I'm involved, but I don't ever see myself becoming "hitched". I'm too much of
a whore. My partner is also older than me, so hes had his chances to to have
fun. He wasn't involved in his 30s so he's got to give me a break!
