LOVE that movie Geoff... I can watch it a few times during the year. Never gets old.
I too love it -- whats really scary is that Ellen's father in that movie looks almost exactly like my maternal grandfather -- and the character acts the same way too. My pop was a crumedgon but he had a heart of gold. I miss him very much.

I know it's so juvenile, but one of my favorite scenes is the big dinner
scene... the crunchy turkey, cat food on the jello, and Cousin Eddies dog
"yackin on a bone" under the table... and the SOUND that comes from the
dog barfing whatever it barfs up just gets me every time!

Ah, but you have to consider... we all have to go somehow, sometime, so what better ways than at the hands of a beautiful woman whose face you've just licked.
Besides, there are those out there who claim strangulation enhances the pleasure. ;)

The lady that plays Aunt Bethany in VACATION is Mae Questel...she was the voice of Olive Oyl in the old black and white Popeye cartoons.

My wife had an aunt (who passed away earlier this year) who never remember what I did or who I was. She was always confused. Invariably she would ask if April was my busy season (assuming I was an accountant) or whether the market was rough (I guess assuming I was either a grocery clerk or a stockbroker). Anyway, after awhile it got to be running in-joke between me and my wife and I would often repeat to my wife in a whisper: "Is Rusty still in the navy?"

We need a good nickname for Moyer. The key to any good nickname is it evokes the person when you think of them. Moyer's a nice fellow, has an awesome literary name, seems like a fun person, seems generally happy. And the name should be distinctly southern. Hmm. Need to think on that.
