I think "The Godfather Part II" is a better film but that "The Godfather" can be re-watched more, if that makes any kind of sense.

And I kind of liked it -- except for Sofia! Ugh!

my ears bleed . . . . . but I liked Garcia, Loved Joey Zassa (sp) and I liked the plot (and Connie as consigere).  I think the film bore the legendary weight of its predecessors and that really hurt it.

Geof, I would say that Godfather II is a bigger more ambitious film. It works on all levels. It is every bit as good as the first. However, I say the Brando and Cann performances in the first is what makes it the slightly better film in overall enjoyment.

Well, Al mentioned to me that he'd be away for a couple of days... can't speak for the Clone Warrior though.

And yes, The Godfathers are great fun. And while not as great as the first too, I do think there are certain qualities even to the third one.
