Its going well Victor and how goes it with you?

Reading all of your "values" posts confirms what I think if the lot of you -- that I'm lucky to "know" you all (or y'all for Bruce)!

Well my values are:

1) Treat others how you expect to be treated
2) What other people do with their lives is their own business and, unless it hurts you, let them live it.

Well said, David.  If ever I'm in Dublin again the first pint is on me.

Well first shot's on me -- but keep your vodka -- never cared for the stuff!  I'll take a guinness.  Its true what they say about going "black."

Damn. I was hoping that the pint offer applied to spirits..

I've never drunk the stuff (I know it a crime) but I've been told it doesn't travel well and is best drunk in the brewery in St. James' Street, Dublin. The most popular tourist spot in Dublin. I live down the road from it.

Values...mmmm...they have changed so much over the years.

  • "treat everyone as you like to be treated"
  • "think before you open your mouth"
  • One that i learned on Cher's "moonstruck" movie ... "Don't shit where you eat".
  • "don't judge so fast"
  • "Save time for God"

You have denied yourself one of life's great pleasures my friend! It does not travel well but its still good assuming the barman knows how to pull it.  And of course the offer would apply to spirits.  The tour of the Guinness Brewery is great fun, but they are stingy with free samples.  That is not the case at the Heinkein Brewery in Amsterdam (or at least it wasn't when I was there in 1999).  They do ask you to leave the brewery after four hours though.  Apparently they think some people abuse their hospitality!  Good times.

Juan good job on getting 5000, I always enjoy reading your posts! Here's to 5000 more!

Favorite saying that play in my head

  • If you stand for nothing , you'll fall for anything.
  • Dance like no one is watching.
  • Live and let live.
  • Leave the planet a little better than you found it.
  • Do, or do not. There is no 'try'
  • Ask not what your country can do for you , but what you can do for your country.
  • An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind.
  • We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.
