Tom,

Why were you such a loner?

Never been much on the gay "community," Marc.  I've always felt it was a lot of gays who were afraid to mix with the "real" world, so they hid themselves together with fellows who "understood" them.  One of the things that initially attracted me to Eric was his aloofness to the community.

Strange that I made my living in theatre, right?  But that also reinforced my issues.  It wasn't until I've gotten out and involved in DC that I've learned that theatre fags are WAY different than gays in general.

Look how much growth I've displayed in the last couple years!

What about you?  Are YOU involved in the SF community?

I'm a little late to the party, but congratulations, Tom!

Byrne, man, you are brilliantly hysterical.

I can be ostricized without any help, thank you very much!

The question is, have you fallen in love since your split?  I confess, I've been a loner for so long that some of the "couple" stuff is tricky for me, but so far, so good.

I've been in love in the last 4 years, and that started out great but ended in such a way that I'm just sticking to getting laid occasionally.

10 year drought here.  Meh.  There are advantages to low testosterone.

(Not to say I don't have about 90 crushes currently vying for a chance to turn me down.  Na ga do it.)

Pete -- I lived the "just get laid" lifestyle for a very long time myself, not because I was burned in a relationship, but just because it was easier than develop any kind of emotional attachments.  This is what I've learned: sex without love is fun (and fulfills the needs of the body), but sex with love is pretty damn amazing!

I hope I never have to go back on that statement.

Kevin -- low testosterone can be a serious problem to adult men.  See your doctor -- there are some GREAT options available now.  (Says the guy on the Testim bandwagon.)

I did the patch, did the gel, I did injections - I never did get into the normal range (my testosterone is LOW - the lowest normal was 410, mine was 198).  My energy level climbed up a bit, but I did not like the aggression increase.  So I repeat, meh (low testosterone is a factor in 3 out of 1000 internet mehs).

The really weird thing is, when I had girlfriends, I was your typical enthusiastic pig.  I think the hormone has a lot more to do with competing with men than with wanting women.

I am the WRONG man to speak to that!

Yeah that was very poorly phrased, especially for a gay wedding thread.  Allow me to simplify: you can DEFINITELY be horny with low testosterone.  I've got many gigabytes of proof.
