Right.  And there were easily a couple dozen educators in attendance.  You'd think we'd have been bled dry!

Just invite more Irish, Tom.  We'd rule the world but for whiskey.

Mmmm... whiskey.

It may surprise you to learn that "French" is an Irish name (make sense out of that...) but I have no tolerance for whiskey.  Loves me some red wine and the creamy ales, but have never been able to handle the hard stuff.

I spent quite a few years as a bar manager and learned to drink shots (they were quick and easily disguised) where I developed a taste for Jagermeister, but that's about it.

Well, I used Whiskey as a cover all.  Wine and beer work too.  I'm convinced this is how St. Patrick got the Irish to convert from Paganism:

Murphy: "Now, Paddy boyo, let me oohndersthand.  This Jaysus fellah turned whater into wine?"

St. Patrick: "'Tis True"

Murphy: "Where do I sign?"

That's okay -- there's plenty of booze left.  Thanks to everyone for the late (and the timely) congrats!

Tom,

My favorite drinks: white wine (chilled, of course!), gin & tonic, Cosmopolitans (i.e., Pink Martini), vodka with most any juice.

JAGERMEISTER!!!?!?  You mean COUGH SYRUP!

My riding buddy Steve and I always say, "Deer blood" when we have a shot after a ride -- which we do after every ride.  I'm a lover of vodka martinis, red wine (prefer cabernet), shots or shooters of any kind (with the exception of tequila -- but have a taste for Goldschlager), and the occasional 420.  Shh!

After my marriage, I don't recommend getting married to anyone. But it seems you're off to a good start. I wish you all the best.

Tom, about the fatness (and i'm a "weight-watcher" myself), you and Eric look good in the pictures, but I have observed that most newlyweds gain a lot of weight the first year, so please watch it. I don't know how to prevent it or how the weight gain is achieved in the first place, though.

*************

Jägermeister is something you pour into your beer to make it look darker.

Eric and I are both dedicated gym rats -- and he's got a leg up on me, because he's one of those eating healthy fanatics (I've never had so many damn vegetables in my LIFE!) -- plus we ride our bikes everywhere we can (Eric rode his to the bar the other night...), so I'm not too worried about it.   But I know what you're saying.  I'm at 230 right now, but would like to get to 240 by the end of the year -- in good weight!  I want to get on the competition stage next year at this time.

The question is, have you fallen in love since your split?  I confess, I've been a loner for so long that some of the "couple" stuff is tricky for me, but so far, so good.
