I guess you never heard "Sex Farm."

Is that a R&H that I've missed?

No it was a "This is Spinal Tap" reference.  Otherwise known as a failed joke!

Big Bottom, Music and Lyrics by David St. Hubbins and Nigel Tufnel

The bigger the cushion, the sweeter the pushin'
That's what I said
The looser the waistband, the deeper the quicksand
Or so I have read

My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo
I'd like to sink her with my pink torpedo

Big bottom, big bottom
Talk about bum cakes, my girl's got 'em
Big bottom drive me out of my mind
How could I leave this behind?

I met her on Monday, 'twas my lucky bun day
You know what I mean
I love her each weekday, each velvety cheek day
You know what I mean

My love gun's loaded and she's in my sights
Big game is waiting there inside her tights, yeah

Big bottom, big bottom
Talk about mud flaps, my girl's got 'em
Big bottom drive me out of my mind
How could I leave this behind?

My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo
I'd like to sink her with my pink torpedo

Big bottom, big bottom
Talk about bum cakes, my girl's got 'em
Big bottom drive me out of my mind
How could I leave this behind?

Sex Farm, Music and Lyrics by David St. Hubbins and Nigel Tufnel

Working on a sex farm
Trying to raise some hard love
Getting out my pitch fork
Poking your hay

Scratching in your hen house
Sniffing at your feedbag
Slipping out your back door
Leaving my spray

Sex farm woman, I'm gonna mow you down
Sex farm woman, I'll rake and hoe you down
Sex farm woman, don't you see my silo rising high?

Working on a sex farm
Hosing down your barn door
Bothering you livestock
They know what I need

Working up a hot sweat
Crouching in your pea patch
Plowing through your bean field
Planting my seed

Sex farm woman, I'll be your hired hand
Sex farm woman, I'll let my offer stand
Sex farm woman, don't you hear my tractor rumbling by?

Working on a sex farm
Trying to raise some hard love
Getting out my pitch fork
Poking your hay

Speaking of banal lyrics . . .

When I was in college I was in a band for about 15 minutes.  We played mostly covers but had some originals.  I was never a very good lyricist (its too hard) but if I worked on it I could write the occasional song (the music seemed to come easier).  Anyway the one number I wrote that I would sing was after a break up with a girl that was a fox but also something else from the canine family.  It was a fairly uptemp number, no doubt influenced by the Replacements and Westerberg as they were one of the bands I listened to alot in those days. (Now I'd try to make it sound like a Gram Parsons song!)  Here's my banality on display:

I been traveling a long time
To get just to where you are
I been moving real fast
but I don't get to far
Like broken field run
I fall in your traps
Like moving through a mine field
You blow me off the map

(Chorus) I been your friend
I been your fool
I been whatever you wanted me to

I climbed every mountain
I sailed seven seas
I prayed in every church
I been down on my knees
I turned the other cheek
And it got slapped
I bent over backwards
but my spine's snapped

Chorus

Bridge: So sick and tired of whatcha say
You dish it out and I put it away
I say I won't go on like this
then you pull me back with a kiss
I want you but I can't explan
your love's driving me insane

There was a third verse which I've since forgotton (if I had a guitar in my hands I bet I'd remember it!).  But looking back on it, ugh!  What cliched words! So I have the utmost esteem and admiration for anyone who can rhyme words and express what they are feeling without being banal.

I've seen a lot worse from bestselling hit singles, Geoff. A LOT worse.

Tom I have to admit I have a weakness for Andrew Loyd Webber.  But, it is really only a nostalgia thing from my childhood...

Love all your favorites chioces...and have to add

Cole Porter....mmmm talk about musical and lyrical standards...Love him.

Too darn Hot,
You do something to me,
It was just one of those things,
Night and Day,
Love for Sale,
Everytime we say Goodbye...

Oh man I can spend the day singing his stuff and never get tired of it.

Lemme throw in some appreciation for Cole Porter -- heard Paul Harvey tell "The rest of his story" on the radio the other night.
