You know here is the thing about Clay Aiken, I thought he was gay from the very beginning and thought "Wow what a cool opportunity to have him being open about it." Then he kept saying he wasn't, I felt lied to, it kind of turned me off to him. But the more I thought about it, people didn't vote for him because he was gay or straight, they voted because they liked to hear him sing. Does his sexual orientation really matter?  Do you think we will ever get to the point where that won't be a hang up for some.
