Brian -- that image puts me in mind of a story. Gather round kiddies:
Waaaaaaay back in high school, I worked at the place that made the buns for McDonald's (as well as the bread for the Ground Round, etc). My job -- amongst other awful duties -- was to watch the buns as they came down the cooling belts toward the slicer and pull out the ones that were deformed, or burnt, or unevenly spread with sesame seeds and toss them in a bin (where they were reground and put back in the mix later to be baked again). We affectionately called ourselves "Bun Pickers."
Being low man on the totem pole, I drew the job of cleaning out the mixing vats -- which had to be done every now and again (not as often as you'd think). These things were huge -- we could stand three people tall in it -- with these big metal blades on the bottom that "stirred" the dough. Aside from the fear that someone would turn them ON while I was cleaning, I was horrified at the number of mouse carcasses I would pull out. You read that right: mouse carcasses.
Making my discovery known, I learned that a certain amount of mouse hair and "parts" were allowed per batch -- bug legs, too -- thank you, FDA. It kept me from eating at McD's for a LONG time, I'll tell you what.
Thanks Brian, for bringing that all back to me.

Reminds me of a guy I used to know who worked at a cream corn factory. His job in the morning was to skim maggots from the vat where the kernels were stored overnight. Yum!

Ah, so when gay guys "go at it" you just TALK dirty. See we heteros don't just talk, we DO. ;)

I did an add, but he's still not appeared. So either he's not been in yet... or he just plain hates me. Must be the latter I'm sure. * all delivered with an acute sense of the melodramatic *

Nah, I think he said he wanted to see a PICTURE. And I'm sure we all know of what.
More Jodi: "Tom your new avatar picture kind of looks like Bruce Willis."
Nah, it's Ron Perlman.

I remember a bit of hullaballoo a few years ago here in Sweden, when someone had opened up a bag of crisps and found one of them furry, more less mummified, carcasses inside (with crisps of course, can't remember if they'd already started eating away befroe making the discovery though). So fun things obviously happens.

That's what finally led me to eat at McD's again (not the maggots) -- the knowledge that it wasn't any better anyplace else, either.

We haven't drifted THAT far, my friend! (Let's hope we never do!) This thread courses along on its own weird, winding river, doesn't it?
I've been a JETS fan since watching them win the Superbowl when I was five -- which I remember distinctly. I remember putting my hands on the screen as a close up of Namath (with those sideburns!) flashed on. Never made me want to wear pantyhose, tho -- or drink too much and try to pick up a sideline commentator during a broadcast (pardon the pun) either.
I grew up in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York, which should make me a Buffalo fan by proximity, but with three teams to "choose" from in NY, it makes sense that I should go with the flashiest! (Besides, it leaves me free to continue to not like or respect OJ Simpson.)

Of course! I can't judge you for taste! If you like a bunch of cheaters, more power to you. lol...
Do you want to know the worst, William (or is it Bill?) -- my partner/ husband Eric is from Boston and is also a Pats fan. Last week during the game, he went upstairs and buried himself in his office for the last quarter, knowing my passion far eclipses his.

Bill it is (I can't seem to edit that in my description). Anyway, It seems that we are paying for are sins this year, but I'll still take the rings! I've been a die hard fan going back to '76 so I have paid my dues in bad years. Tell Eric to hold the Pats line!

So drifting back to gaydar for a moment here; a friend of mine called me up to come to the bar awhile back and mentioned that his girlfriend (who was a hot, young blonde) would be bringing a friend of hers. That sounded promising so I went to the bar to see what would happen. I met her and got nothing from her. Normally when meeting a woman there's tension of a sort, an awareness from both sides that there is an attractive and available member of the opposite sex in front of them. But with this woman there was no reaction beyond politeness, none of that tension. I was nonplussed. Now, a lot of guys when rejected by a woman will say she's a lesbian, but in this case that was the truth and I knew it before I was told. (Though I did have a talk with my buddy about how getting one's hopes up by not providing that information beforehand was cruel, even if it was funny).
I think when two people who are attracted to one another (of whatever orientation) there is that reaction, even if it is unspoken and I can completely see how gayday could work.
An interesting experience in that I was always a bit reluctant to meet women because they always seemed nervous around me and I thought it meant I was scary and weird, but that experience taught me that what I thought was fear of a sort was actually sexual tension. A fact which, if I had learned it earlier, would have been very helpful.
