It does?  I thought it ended when the drunk brother-in-law got thrown out of the reception.  See, this is what I don't know about straights...

Come on now Tom, gays have drunk brother in laws too.  Once the Marriage thing gets straightened out (pardon the pun) the drunk brother in laws will again understand their most important role in the ceremony.  And let me say, on behalf of the drunk brother in laws of america, we have our reasons for our actions, Mr. Mom-loved-you-more-Dad-favored-you-you-got-away-with-murder- while-I-was-in-trouble-for-everything-what-do-I-have-to-do-f or-them-to-love-me-like-they-do-you-fancy pants.

California has prop 8 coming up in November.  This proposition will change the state constitution in order to ban gay marriage.

Sad...how can anyone think that it is a good idea to specifically create laws to disenfranchise a group of citizens.  The thought is wack!

Its sad but hardly unique.  Its why gay rights are not an issue only for the gay community, but the larger human being community.  This article underscores how large, and important, this issue really is.  I think its an issue of basic human decency.

I had a unique opportunity this last week.  Our school forces us every year to attend a Trustee Reception where we get to "mingle" with the Board at one of the Multi-McMansions owned by them (some own as many as seven!). I mentioned that this would be my last year at my school, citing the state tax issue I have living in DC and working in Maryland.

When asked why I moved to DC then -- and I was asked, several times --  I said, "Because you guys in Maryland voted a ban on gay marriage in your state constitution.  Why on Earth would I WANT to stay where I wasn't allowed to live my life freely?"

I don't know if they got the message, but it sure felt good to say.  High and mighty bastards.

edited to remove name of school

OKAY... I always watch Morning Express with Robin Meade in the
morning. I may be gay, but she's just great to watch in the morning.
Funny, sexy, brunette, a little sarcatic...and delivers just the news, and
some fun stuff sprinkled througout.

So this morning, she is talking to someone, in regards to a study done
recently, that states something like we are genetically inclined to be either
liberal or conservative.

Here's a
link

Talk amongst yourselves. Discuss...discuss... next topic: Chick Peas. It's
neither a chick, or a pea...

Wha-keem - in college, blue books are used for essay questions on exams.

There's also the Kelley Blue Book, which is used for valuing used cars, but I don't think that's what they were talking about.
