Wow! And just like that my sexuality changed... I have both JB TPBs of WW (time to move along with more TPBs there, right?) on the shelf as well as the first Perû—one (and I'll definitely be getting the other three that's out), I certainly have oodles of X-Men in various formats, and I started reading a lot of Vertigo titles a wee while before the imprint as such actually came into being.  So, I guess I'm gay, yet strangely attracted to women... could I be a lesbian trapped in a man's body?

Hang on, I just got it. If you read those three, you must be happy. That's it, right? Just like this is the Big Fat Happy Wedding thread. ;)

Have to admit that I didn't read through the whole thing over at the forum of Brian's local paper, but what little I read definitely included at least some objections. There was one rather good one which brought up, yet again, a lot of those other things in... is it Exodus or Leviticus?... that are included as against the rule book, apart from being gay ? some mighty interesting things in that list that the Bible bashers oddly enough never cite or cry out for us all to follow, how's that for consistency?
Anyways, since Brian, nor as far as I know any other of us, are in any way connected to that site, I'm not sure how we would be able to do any deleting or tracing...

Lars also wrote:
"You wrote this, which supports your theory that that pile of vile bile should have a link, since they may also dislike what they see here. What do you mean? They find more that they dislike and will come to their senses?"

Now you're putting words in my mouth or at the very least SEVERELY twisting words I did have there. Nowhere, and I do mean NOWHERE, have I suggested that these people would need a link to get over here. What I did say was that, given where our conversation in this thread has taken us, I don't think Brian's posting the link to the site was weird or out of place. I have no illusion that these people "will come to their senses" nor do I feel a strong need to have them over here either, but I do think it helps to keep aware of the existence of such people. And Brian's posted link obviously brought ample evidence of their presence in the world.  To be frank, from where I'm sitting, a lot of the time it would actually be fairly easy to forget how vile opinions about these matters people can actually have.  I think the most extreme ones I've ever come across in real life are much, much more low key about it (and yes, I do realise that the anonymity of the web helps out in making these morons more vocal about their "beliefs") and as such make some of these issues seem smaller than they are. It seems quite healthy to me to be reminded of the reality of the issues at hand.

More Lars:
"We have one aiming for the stars goal and one Voltair goal:
[...]
But Tom's is more like Rosseau."

Well, obviously, Tom was obviously more of a Voltaire man (after all that's what he said), but even disregarding that for a wee bit, I don't see how that'd nullify any other opinions or viewpoints on the matter. I certainly haven't got that vibe off Tom in the discussion (and feel free to correct me if I've got that wrong, Tom). The only one crying foul play about the whole thing, is you, Lars. And in all honesty I still don't fully understand what set you off so strongly.

Al - what surgery? Everything went well, I hope.

Everything went fine, thanks! Gastroscopy, and I donated a teeny-tiny piece
of stomach tissue to the folks at the lab to play with. No biggie.

Tom: Can't wait to check out the clips of the play online!

Have you seen that candid camera segment where there is a waiting room with a water dispenser and a toilet. Someone in the bathroom flushes and the water is reacting, a bubbling effect appears in the dispenser that you should drink. Nobody wants that connection between the shit/water and the water. The linked site there is the shit and this wedding is the water. That was my point. But OK, it's not completely out of place.

It's probably low key as long as you don't come walking in a park holding another guy's hand. Some people want that kind of shit to come out, but after police and the authorities did nothing about it. A guy I know made this movie (not a commercial pic I'm advertising), only in Swedish though.

Jeez, I've been reading through this thread on and off for the past week hoping I could learn something now that one of my friends, of almost 30 years, may have come out of the closet

Derek, with any kind of luck, you've learned not to treat him any differently at all!

Muppet Babies....? No. Just taking a moment to recognize Mr. Simko and give him his due as the legend he is. I can only dream of approaching his status in regards to consuming hops and barley. He is prodigious......

Yeah, just show him around the room. Slowly. 30 years in a closet can't be good for anyone.
