I thought, "Geez, it's bad enough I know it exists, but do I have to LOOK at it!?"

God made us as we are Tom!*  Why can't you be openminded?

*Unless the couple were ugly.  NO ONE wants to see that!

I was dropping off some of the kids at the Edinburgh airport who were flying back early for college this morning and came across and man and woman passionately making out while saying goodbye (I suppose.  I doubt they were saying hello.)  I thought, "Geez, it's bad enough I know it exists, but do I have to LOOK at it!?"

Damn heteros....no self control!

I find myself humming show tunes more and more these days. I really enjoy stuff from SOUTH PACIFIC (Brian Stokes Mitchell...wow!).

Brian, please, allow me to introduce you to some better music!  As much respect I have for R&H (believe me, I've done all their shows a million times over), and as much as they are "singers" musicals, for me, they're very steeped in their time-period.

On the other hand, you could've said you liked Andrew Lloyed Webber... then we'd have to have a face-to-face meeting for the slap I'd give you.

I'm in love
I'm in love
I'm in love
I'm in love
I'm in love with a wonderful guy!

I'm as corny as Kansas in August
High as a flag on the Fourth of July...

I mean, REALLY....

We will welcome you with open arms when that last vestige is gone

••

I plan to vote for O'Bama -- Good Irish Lad that he is -- but I'm not
ready to take the plunge into the Other Party just yet.

Sigh... okay, you got me.  But I'll only put up with it as long as society says it's okay.

I vote based on the person.  My mind is still not made up.  I voted for Kerry in 2004 very much holding my nose.*

*Not that I dislike Kerry as a person.  It was his domestic policies I found . . . lacking.  I have the same problems with Obama.  He's promising the world -- but how is he going to pay for it?  Thats it for the politics (from me) in this thread we have a presidential thread that can house these discussions!

That's the funniest thing I've seen all day!  Love me some Don Knotts -- it's like casting made in Heaven.
