...being a Jets fan has significant and real drama!  Thats understanding (and in many ways embracing) tragedy.

One of my first memories was watching the JETS win the '69 Superbowl (with that handsome Joe Namath... oh, those pantyhose...).  I remember being literally inches from the screen and banging on it with my flat hands.

One long suffering life later, I'm still there.  (Confidentially, I just spent a buttload of money on the new Favre jersey...  <-- this after ripping the name off the back of my Pennington jersey)

I'm still in the UK, although we had our final performance yesterday afternoon.  Lots of tears and good harmony -- and a GREAT cast party!  Coming home on Friday.  Scotland, as if to acknowledge the ending, has kept the sun hidden in constant rain since we closed.

The Honeymoon is over when the wedding novelty and euphoria wear off and reality starts setting in. This mostly involves leaving that wonderful twosome bubble and re-admitting other people into your day-to-day reality.

Well then, Jesus, I'm not sure.  I would've answered "yes" BEFORE I went on this little Scotland excursion, but since being gone, I miss Eric terribly, much more than I thought I would -- not to mention the dogs.  I'm anxious to just get home and hold him and be with him for a while.

Hey...where's that girl that used to post a lot to this thread... with the big
80s hair? Whut happened to her?

On, and RE: Football... I just don't get it. Never did...I wish I did! I think what
bothers me is the way groups of guys act over it. THEY know the play the Quarterback should have executed...THEY would have done it differently...
so and so should have done this instead of this... and it will go on and on
and on for hours... it gives me headaches. Especially when the guys talking
about it haven't picked up a football in years, and they aren't out there on
the field with some 400lb gorilla coming after them.

Funny enough that doesn't make my inner republican scream. I hear the scream when I think of how Dubya has spent money like a drunken frat boy with Daddy's credit card.  That hurts much, much more . . . .

I find myself humming show tunes more and more these days. I really enjoy stuff from SOUTH PACIFIC (Brian Stokes Mitchell...wow!).

At least thats the kind of drunken frat boy activitiy I can relate to! If he only did that (instead of pissing away a surplus) things would be much better!

What happened to the rest of your Republicanism?

I was dropping off some of the kids at the Edinburgh airport who were flying back early for college this morning and came across and man and woman passionately making out while saying goodbye (I suppose.  I doubt they were saying hello.)  I thought, "Geez, it's bad enough I know it exists, but do I have to LOOK at it!?"
