On the increasingly rare occasion I get to the shop these days, I see nothing-- and I mean nothing-- that gets my fires burning about comics the way this issue did (and the rest of Byrne's run as well).

Back when those Hulk issues came out I photocopied all the pages with the fight scenes and put them in a type of order to make one long battle. This issue had such a great fight! I spent so much time out of my life looking at these pages growing up it's shameful.

One of the best two-page-spreads ever in comics.

Very intereseting character development with the Hulkbusters and the death of a member. Made me want the backstory even more than the previous issue.

( A favorite issue of Todd McFarlane's as I recall...)

I remember looking at the cover when I first saw this issue. Thought that there was something not right. Didn't realize it till after I read the issue that Hulk was wearing his pants instead of the trunks. Didn't know it was a "fake" Hulk.

Great issue. Loved seeing the Hulkbusters in action against Doc Samson. Couldn't believe that one perished so soon. Doc Samson seemed to be getting more intense with each issue about finding/defeating  the Hulk. Always wondered what direction JB had planned to go with Doc Samson.

JB,

Any regrets marring Bruce and Betty? Did you plan on keeping them married?

...it seemed to start the marriage ball rolling in comics.

Ryan,

You are cruel.  I still mourn JB's exit from this series.
