To keep the server from getting bogged down, next month I'm going to start snipping the earlier parts of this thread ... so Dan, whatever you're gonna use for the Galleries, scoop 'em out of this thread as soon as you can after they're posted.  I don't want anything huge sitting here for more than a couple of weeks.

I typically have stuff moved out of here and into the Gallery within a day (sometimes longer if I've got other things going on, but usually within a day).

If folks would rather, they could post smaller images here and email larger images for inclusion in the Gallery to jbgallery@ourbunch.net

Since our hostess has given us direction on sizing of the images, here are a couple within those parameters (200 DPI and 800 pixels wide) from Amazing Heroes #96 (I don't think anyone has posted these as of yet. If so, please delete this message)...

"Jason Peter". . . .    sigh I remember the first
time I saw this, and wondered if it was really
possible no one at DC knew "Jay" is a real,
unabreviated name. And, of course, Barry Allen had
to become "Bartholemew", even tho Barry is. . .

sigh

(At Marvel my character Smart Alec got his real name
turned into "Alexander", since there are, apparently,
no short names in the MU. Funny thing was, the guy
largely responsible for this trend was Mark
Gruenwald, who would throw a fit if anyone called
him Marcus!)

I wish I could say my real name is Frank but somehow "Francis" is on my
birth certificate.

There's a copy of the promo bag I scanned on Frank's site. I just came across this b&w ad from Amazing Heroes 96 of the same image:
