He wrote a good history book. He needs to finish it someday. :)

I really like Jim Steranko's work, especially on S.H.I.E.L.D and Captain
America. I would have loved to have seen him do more DC stuff.

How is 'Steranko' pronounced?

Probably my favorite Steranko piece:

Also, can someone confirm if Frank Miller and Sin City were partly inspired
by Steranko?!?

I don't think confirmation is necessary.  That Miller piece you posted is such an obvious Steranko homage.  There's no way that could be just a coincidence.

I don't think anyone else has had as much influence in comics than Steranko with such a small body of work.

A testament of his skills, in my opinion.

Random comment, Gerry, but I am glad to see you involved with FX.

I think when one looks at the work by Jim Steranko; is more about the quality than quantity.  Everything that I have ever seen by Sternako has been just absolutely amazing.  From his comic book work to his wonderful Shadow book covers and also covers to Weird Heroes books.

The work he did in Chandler is just breathtaking, even in the small size the book was produced (At least the one I have). Chandler is something that should have been tabloid size.

The late Dave Stevens was kind of like Steranko.  A very small body of work compared to the big impact they have on comics.  And, man what an impact.  I have always felt that every time we saw work by Steranko it is always his best. A superb draftsman one of the best that will ever be.

Not very familiar with Steranko. The only things I have seen are some quite spectacular and dynamic covers. I would like to see more of his output.
