DC list. I wouldn't put Captain Atom on the top rung and I would put Wonder Woman up there. Hawkman is said to have enhanced strength but I'm not sure if he'd be in the middleweight category but is definitely above normal. Green Lantern I'm not sure how to define, in a way I think he could lift with the help of his ring close to the top tier. Not sure if that's ever been explained in the comics.

Aquaman is a mess, at times he's been shown to be just above human, other times just below middleweight and a lot of times just below the heavy weights. All over the map, personally I like where he's placed but I could see people disputing it.

Is that Capt. Triumph next to Iron Munro? Is he that strong?  

And whats with the funky looking Superboy?

I'd think all the Kryptonians and Marvels (and Wonders) would be in the same class,.

As to where Cap actually got his superhuman strength, here's a quick summary:

Cap is poisoned in CA 157...--

...takes an antidote in 158 --

 

... and belatedly finds he has super-strength (also in 158)

In Cap 218, he ponders his lost super-strength--

Looks like Cap had super-strength for about 5 years, though.   Pretty surprising; to me, anyway.  Also, he seemed to have gained some level of toughness as well, judging by the fact that that blow to the head didn't hurt.

As for the Beast effortlessly hefting that 500 lb. barbell, did something happen to him between that panel and this one in AVENGERS 184 where he can't lift the Absorbing Man's ball & chain?--

Or is it just a silly moment?

If I remember correctly CA only had the strength about three years until Englehart left the book. When Kirby took over I think it was completely ignored.

Unfortunately I'm not sure about Cap Triumph, except basing on what I've read ABOUT the comics he was in...it sounds like he has a kind of supernatural-enhanced strength, probably ill-defined, like Doc Strange (the Golden Ager). I put him in heavyweights because in GOLDEN AGE, Triumph's "other half" dead brother indicates Triumph could take Robotman (I). In a way, I get the sense Triumph is part of those super-strong guys of 1939 Superman level, which was pretty strong.

Ed Love can probably set me right though.

If Cap is *curling* 500 pounds, then I'm not sure how he doesn't have super strength. Is that really within the range of normal human strength?

Well, in the same panel where he's curling he flat-out states he's lost his super-strength.  I don't know what the record for curling is, but in the MU, it's possible for someone without s/s to curl 500 pounds - because we just saw it!
