I never understood why Cap was listed within "normal human" range.  The super soldier serum must not have been very super.

I've been reading the CAPTAIN AMERICA ESSENTIALS and at some point, Cap get super strength (it's a plot point because he's now much stronger than Falcon). When did he lose the "super" strength? Or was this just not ever mentioned again?

Yeah, that Marvel Two-in-One annual was a lot of fun to read!

I'm not exactly sure in which comic book Cap lost his super-strength, however it was mentioned, I remember a 1970's Avengers issue where Cap is training on a trapeze and is thinking how he needs to train more since loosing his super-strength.

Boy, almost all of these characters are the exact same height, aren't they?

Well, Peter is just a photographer, not a photographer/cub reporter like Jimmy Olsen.

Here's my guess: Greunwald wrote him two levels below, but then let egomaniacal Bob Layton draw it. When he got the art back to script, suddenly Iron Man was right there at the top, and he had to write the incredibly stiff, self-important dialogue we got there to justify it.

Wait a minute. Incredibly stiff, self-important dialogue...

Layton drew him there AND wrote the explanation!

Gee, thanks for sucking the enjoyment out of something that was intended to be simple and fun by applying your own personal unsubstantiated bias.

According to the first page, Gruenwald did the layouts?  I didn't know he had any drawing ability.  Are there other examples?

Gruenwald drew, IIRC, the Hawkeye mini-series that hooked Clint up with Mockingbird

IIRC, the original MU Handbook had Herc stronger, like Class 100, and Thor and Wonder Man at about 95.  Then in the next MU series, Thor was on top at 100, stronger than all, except the Hulk when he went off the charts.

And this is why you should never know for sure.  Debating Hulk & Thor & Herc or Hulk & Thing or Thor & Wonder Man should be part of the fun of comics.
