Woah woah. Now here's something I've never heard of. Now I've gotta find out about this comic, just based on this awesome design and cover!

Ed, I think that you should be credited in the Swamp Thing cover the same
way JB credited you in the Doom Patrol cover. That sketch was quite tight,
and Bissette didn't went too far from what you drawed.

Chad,
Skull & Bones was my own limited series comic from the early 90s, set in the USSR. It didn't do too well. The timing was terrible. I was just finishing off the second issue I think when the whole fall of the Soviet Union happened. By the time the series hit the stands no one was interested in Russia any more and the comics industry was starting its meltdown. Here are the first two issues on ComicSpace: http://www.comicspace.com/edhannigan/comics.php?action=galle ry&comic_id=1708 http://www.comicspace.com/edhannigan/comics.php?action=galle ry&comic_id=5026 Haven't found the time to scan and correct the third issue yet. Don't laugh too much. Not the best comic you'll ever read, but I am still somewhat proud of it in spite of its many flaws.
Here's the tongue-in-cheek "KGB" website "exposing" S&B: http://www.geocities.com/skullbones.geo/sb_index.html
And here's the poster, digitallly rendered by Ron Leary, which we will be producing and selling one of these days (I hope): http://mysite.verizon.net/hannigan7/bones_skull.html
'nuff pluggin'?

Actually, Ferran, I'd appreciate it if you could send me a high rez scan of that Swamp Thing sketch.
Thanks.
Chad,
That Flash cover was my homage to the early 60s Carmine Infantino Flash, which was quite the sensation in its day. For me, still the definitive Flash artist.

Ed, the timeliness of SKULL & BONES may have not been good, but I feel like these days there's an upsurge in interest about foreign intrigue and espionage, stemming from guys like Greg Rucka, Ed Brubaker, Matt Fraction and the like.
Any interest in continuing the stories, perhaps with a hand-picked artist? The design of the "Devil's Bulter" is brilliant. I love the simple classic design. Sir, that's just great.

So, how did these "After Hannigan" covers come about? Were they done over layouts? Or Entirely new pieces that used a layout as inspiration? And how was this done in the editorial sense?

When I first saw the cover posted here, I thought Carmine Infantino! Very evocative of his work, especially in the speed lines.
