Hi! Ferrán, I didn't know that you are a JBF member!
Do you remember me?I met you in Avila, at the Pacheco's queue. I was the one who liked your Sienkiewicz's stuff.

These are raw scans of your printed sunday...

If you wish a high res scan of it, just ask!

BTW, you'll find my name in the acknowledgements section of the Modern
Masters focused on you.

Be my guest!

I left it to Jim's well trained eye to chose which piece to get for me, and I was
absolutely delighted when I saw the one he picked. This is about 98% of
what I would hope for in a Kirby/Wood SKY MASTERS. If if had a K/W babe
in it, it would kick over to about 110%!!

Makes me wish Wood had inked Kirby on FF!

Byrne: :-)

José Emilio: Yes, I remember of you! It's was nice to speak with you while
waiting in the line.

The pieces Emilio speak about, you'll find them in my CAF gallery. No Byrne or Kirby artwork, but a few Sienkiewicz key pieces
like the cover of NM #21.

Bill: Bear in mind that they produced this masterwork in 1958, three
years before FF!! When I learnt about this, I couldn't believe it!
A pity that Wood didn't embellish all the strips. He only worked on 1/3 of
them (the first 264 dailies of 774). After a brief and transitional run inked
by Kirby (26 dailies), Ayers took the reins of the inking till the end. It had
to be hard for him to be compared with a genious like Wood...

You know, there is a universe of comic-strip/book talent in that Sunday original.

Alternate reality: SM takes off in 800 national papers, is a smashing success, and the Marvel Age is stillborn.

Jesus:

Another alternate reality: Kirby pays what National editor Schiff
demanded, he keeps working for National (DC) and Marvel Universe fails
to sell because Kirby never went to Atlas (Marvel) offices, and this ruins
the company and they go out of business.

For anyone interested in behind-of-scenes of that age for Kirby,
readthis article from Jack Kirby Collector #15.

This article explains his abrupt left of National to ask for work at Atlas
Comics, and hence, his basic role in the creation of the Marvel Universe.

Wally Wood did ink the Daredevil figures in "Fantastic Four" #39 (1st series, of course).

Edited: That also included the Matt Murdock figures in that issue.

Matt: Yeah, that's cool, but -man- I'd like to have seen the Thing done by Kirby/Wood.
Oh well.

EDIT TO ADD: Forget the Thing --- the Invisible Girl

In the database of the
Kirby Museum, you'll find a complete listing of the collaborations of Kirby
and Wood. Just choose Wally Wood in the "person" category, and press the
search button, and it will show.

This is a sample of another collaboration of both geniouses in Marvel:
