As everyone already pointed here, i think this issue is better than the first one.
I really enjoyed the opening sequence. And the part in the theatre.
Now i'm really looking for the #3.
Good-good job.

William - yes, it is very, very cool.

David - along with John, I had to pay the colorists and John Workman to
letter (sans issue 1 - JB paid him for that one).

And, no, I haven't made my money back yet. But I'm hoping to. If not, I
won't be disappointed though.

And thanks again for all the kind words.

Just got #2 Wayne...my LCS was sold out a few weeks ago, but I swung by today and found they had ordered some more, and I got the last copy! Just read it and it's really good! I LOVE the Vicki and her mother subplot and also the last page with the big villain reveal.

Thanks Wayne for answering my questions.

You really can be proud of FX. You choose a great drawer, and the stories are, sor far, really interresting. So you produced a quality work.

Wayne ---

Not that I'm trying to take work away from Mr Byrne - but would you ever consider using another artist for future FX series?

A little late to the party, but I picked up issues #1 and #2 today at the northside Downtown Comics shop in Indy (or more precisely, Castleton).

I had to ask if they had copies, and they DID -- multiple copies of both issues.  The clerk was very helpful -- he informed me that John Byrne had the Star Trek Romulans titles out, and Assignment Earth would be coming soon.  I asked him if he had read FX and he said he had read the first issue, and it was good -- he described it as "similar to Invincible," sort of a modern take-off of the classic Spider-Man storyline, with a kid discovering his powers.

Nice experience overall, and nary a sign of a "Bad Byrne" story or any latent Byrne-bashing.

Read both issues when I got home -- GREAT stuff, Wayne!  Really like it a lot!  JB's artwork is superb, as always.

Looking forward to reading more!

Steven - ugh, I shudder to think it. If, and only if, John ever decides he
doesn't want to do any more FX stories - I might consider a different artist.
But I would really, really hate to do that.

John - thanks!

Wayne - apropos of Steven's comment... let's hope JB never tires of doing FX with you, but let's hope it garners enough attention for you to do some spin offs into other areas of your Wayneverse (or is that WOniverse? I never remember). And that'd be a nice opportunity for you to work with some other artists as well.
This being said in the spirit of "I absolutely love your collaboration with JB and think you match each other ever so well, but I'm curious as heck to see you work with other artists in the future, just to see how the result would be". :)
