I thought the writing in #2 was much better than #1.  It was partly due to the coversational scenes that allowed for some character development.  But it was also due to there being more to read, or at least it seemed like there were more words.  Kinda like WO getting more confident in actually having something to say in the story.  Action, subplots, character scenes....what else do you need??

9.8? I wonder what's wrong with it? It's not like it had any time to get some
wear and tear on it.

WO & JB -

Today I read #1 & #2 .  Enjoyed them both immensely.  "Icky Vicky" is my favorite character !  This book is pure fun !  Thanks for the great plot/pencils !

Thanks, Dan. She's John's favorite too so you're in good company.

When I first heard about this mini series I was undecided if I was going to buy this mini or not. I finally gave in and decided to give this series a try. After reading the first 2 issues this weekend, I am happy to say that I decided to give this mini series a try. I thought this book was pretty damn good and a lot of fun. I liked the characters, the story ,and the art. Most of all, I like that this book is suitable for all ages without talking down to the readers (the way Marvel comics USED to be before Quesada and Jemas started running the show). Great job guys, keep up the good work.

OMT, I think FX would make a great animated series. Wayne, have you ever thought about shopping this series around Hollywood as an animated series?

You know what's so cool about this thread? It reminds me of what letter
columns used to be. Plus you get a response straight from the creator (as
opposed to the editor or some such). I just think that's fantastic. I also love
the comic and think what you're doing Wayne is just phenomenal. And by
that I mean taking charge of your dream and making it come true. Bravo!

Thanks again, folks.

Rick - I'll do my best to get it into another form and a cartoon would be
fantastic. But first, I have to finish up the scripting of #5 and then #6.

Just got issues 1 and 2 in the mail. Love the covers. Haven't read them yet.

Also got JB's JLA Classified run and the last 6 issues of his Doom Patrol. Lots of Byrne goodness for me.

Got our own Marc Guggenheim's Blade series in TPB as well.
