Bruce,
Great topic! I'm a very big fan of MTU. Sooo many great moments and Spider-Man team ups ( Iron Fist / the Daughters of the Dragon, X-men, Black Widow/ Nick Fury, Captain America,Red Sonja, and Power Man! Sure MTU had some crap issues ( like the Spidey & Hercules issue) but I still love 'em warts and all. I really wish Marvel would do a Omnibus of that stuff!

An Omnibus would be cool. They've got two volumes of Essential Marvel Team-Up, which run through issue #51. But that's only one-third of the series.
One more classic from the Claremont era that hasn't been mentioned yet is the issue where Spider-Man teams up with the original "Saturday Night Live" cast. Very fun stuff!

Bruce,
Remember this classic? Some damn fine interior work by the late Jim Mooney if my memory serves.

Spider-man/Red Sonja might be the best issue of that run.
Last I checked, the vultures were milking out a whole series out of that... |

Not a series, but a five issue mini series from Dynamite. They produce the Red Sonja monthly title. I don't think it's "milking" the story at all. It's a pretty decent read.

As far as MTU goes, one of my favorite titles from the 70s. Loved it as a kid and I love it now.

I do remember that one, John. It was a good read. Any comic promising "Action - in the Mighty Marvel Manner!" is probably going to be good!
Mooney (and writer Len Wein) also did the previous issue, in which Spider-Man teamed up with Brother Voodoo. A fun little story featuring one of Marvel's lesser-known heroes:

My favorite had to be the JB two parter with Yellow Jacket and the Wasp.
Yellowjacket just looked to be such a cool character and the Wasp looked
delicious.

This was one of my all time favorite Strange/ Spider-Man team ups. Very creepy issue and a absolute outstanding follow up team up with Satana.

I really enjoyed MTU--particularly in its earlier days (1975-79).
The Byrne run was terrific--loved the Human Torch/Ms. Marvel two-parter with the Super-Skrull. And JB knew how to render a feral, threatening and still sexy Tigra (check out Marvel Chillers #6 for further proof).
Perhaps my most cherished memory is of the four-parter that started it all for me--MTU #41-44, with the Scarlet Witch, Vision, Dr. Doom (!) and Moondragon (!!) teaming with Spidey to battle Cotton Mather and the Dark Rider. MTU #41 was one of my first comics, and it was my first prolonged exposure to Miz Scarlet, who has become a personal favorite.
