JB and JR Jr. were the first two artists I identified and followed.

JB,

Were any of the plot lines at this point things you had worked out with Bill Mantlo ahead of time? I remember him playing off the ramifications of this issue (and the next), and was wondering how much coordination there was, if any?

Thanks.

Just one more issue.  I had mixed feelings in that I loved AF, but was also very excited about what might be coming up on the Hulk.  Man, what a great, great time to be a comics fan!

Edited for missing word.

Ryan:  <<I just noticed Snowbird myself yesterday when I was cropping scans.>>

I never noticed that until you guys mentioned it and I went back up the page and looked at the scan again!

I really loved Alpha Flight.

Sigh.

How do you guys like the coloring/printing quality of this vintage of comics?

Was there some new process that was incorporated about his time?  I remember noticing some improvement...

Ahh, the magic continued and yet *sob* there was only one issue left. I was shocked and devestated when I read that box on the letters page.

I think the printing quality was fairly poor but I do enjoy the look of an older comic, modern comics are sometimes too busy with artificial backgrounds.

When JB flipped Shaman's bag inside out I really enjoyed the effect! Today an artist would use a modern computer generated graphic, which i don't think would be as enjoyable. Ehh thats just my opinion though.

The coloring in these last two issues seemed really good...the colors popped.

I felt bad for Shaman. That look on his face was devastating.

Just noticed that Denny O´Neil was the editor.

Did you two ever think about doing a story (not just AF) together, JB?
