Ahhh...so happy.  This issue made me so very, very happy.  Guardian was back!  The team was together!  What could go wrong?

This is the issue that I was super excited to buy.  I can remember the whole trip to the LCS the day I bought this issue.  I couldn't wait to devour it.  I must have read it 10 times the first day!  Guardian was back and I couldn't have been happier.  I was the happiest 13 year old in the world.  I had no idea just how sad I'd be the next month.

Same here, so happy my favorite character was back (and loved the cover homage to #11) and my 13-14 year old mind just accepted the story despite the clear evidence in #12. One month, that's all we got, one month, and then JB pulled that rug out from under us...brilliantly I might add!

Yep, me too. A brilliant issue. Flawless in its creation. Mac was back - yay! How little I knew....

The printing was so poor around this time though.

Wow...I never even picked up on the cover homage to Alpha Flight #11!  Not only is that cool, but it's a hint at what's to come - spoiler:  (the Guardian figure here is "whited out" just as the Omega figure images were in #11. And the Alpha figures are fully rendered, just as Guardian was in #11).

Once again, not my cover copy. REALLY don't like those "…or is it?"
dialogues. I know the covers aren't really supposed to "sound" like how
people really talk, but. . .

Fun issue to work on. REALLY surprised by how many of you fell for my
ruse! I guess, as Glen notes above, you were just so happy to have Guardian
"back" you were willing to overlook the Peterbilt sized holes in his story.

As was a later writer. sigh

When I read it as a kid, I did think "say, if he teleported, how did he mutter out that 'heather...' at the end of #12"? But I guess I was not as continuity-minded as I was in later years, and I just accepted it. Just being happy to see him back was a factor, I admit.
