This has been a dream come true for me too.  I have always admired JB's work and never thought I would have the chance to actually color an entire comic of his art.  Being the first one to have a shot at determining costume colors for new characters has been an unexpected treat.  It has also been a great opportunity to get to know Wayne and Gerry better, and that has been a definite plus.

Good news? Heck this means I'm now officially two issues behind (as my Swedish LCS told me to check in for issue one during the later half of April).

Now having read the Ashcan Edition has kept me sane about not having read the coloured "normal" version of # 1 yet, but now there's a # 2 out there full of surprises. Insanity...

That sucks. I hope your shop does it get it in soon.

But yeah, for some reason my shop got sent their copies of FX #1 late. It didn't come in until yesterday.

I liked both issues. Even though it uses modern paper and coloring techniques, the series definitely has an old school feel to it, and if that's what Wayne was going for when he wrote it, he hit the nail on the proverbial head. FX is just what the genre has been missing for a while, and you can feel free to quote me on that.

Me too, Brian.
But it's what I was told from the point of ordering, so it's by no means a surprise in all fairness. Don't know if the store somehow uses seafright or something to cut the shipping expenses for their comics loads from the US to Sweden. That's my best guess to explain the evry long and anticipated delay.

I haven't been able to track down any store that carries FX or is willing to order a copy for me.  The hunt continues

That is downright ridiculous. Are these retailers that just can't be bothered? What is their rationale for not ordering it, or did they even say? At this point, IDW is a major comic company recognized by the industry and any title from it should be fairly easy to get copies of through Diamond.

I finally got FX 1. Really cool idea, seems to be scripted for JB's art. The flying scene splash page there reminds me of Man of Steel when Superman takes off. Olnly JB can draw like that. I can't wait until FX 2. I like the colors and paper, looks a lot like Next Men. The last page left me very scared.

Lars - did you buy in one of the Stockholm stores? Just wondering since if you did, that might mean I need to visit my LCS pretty soon to check of if # 1 hasn't arrived there as well.
