People still ask me from time to time if the Great Beasts are "real"
mythology. I take that as a mighty high compliment!

Man, what a great run this was. Twists and turns and fun and adventure
galore. Sad that its time was so limited.

JB, what does Keith Williams "inking assist" consist of?

Quaetion JB:  never picked up on this before...Snowbird said Sasquatch was a hybrid of Lankowski and Tanaraq.  Was Tanaraq's true appearance different than that of Sasquatch??

Small curiosity: In the brasilian/portuguese version, Snowbird's hand when she takes out Sasquatch's heart is painted pinkish red!

DOES Canada have any "real" mythology (oxymoron alert!). Are there any Inuit legends that are well known?

Awesome issue!! Awesome story & art.  I like the depiction of Snowbird swooping in for the kill against Sasquatch.  I need to get JB's Alpha Flight run in trade paperback!!

I grabbed this issue off a spinner rack at some random drug store on vacation when I was a kid.  Sasquatch was my favorite character there were two them fighting on the cover.  I knew I couldn't miss this issue!  I must've read it and re-read a dozen times.  The Great Beasts are such an awesome concept, and they do have just enough real world flavor.

I miss the thicker ink lines of the earlier issues. The newer pages had less "punch" in my opinion.

I was happy then they returned as JB moved onto other series :)

Example of the thick vs. thin =

Definitely one of those "Holy $#!&" kinds of issues.  One of my favorites of the run.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I could not agree with you more! The sense of weight that I was use to on
those earlier issues were lost when the thinner lines took precedent. At he
end of the day I realize it's the artist discretion how the final piece looks, but
I can't help but imagine how this issue would've looked like with the
heaviness of the earlier books

My long-ago reaction: What?!  They're bringing back Guardian and we're losing Sasquatch!?
