I Iike your Doom/Surfer pic from the Kirby Collector! It's one of my favorites

Dan Walsh -

Thanks. Actually I have to pick up some more works of Kirby. The Image
that I posted was from an image I came across online.

I have bunch of his DC work in b/w bound editions and a few Marvel FF'S.

His material is just DYNAMIC!

I really enjoyed the FF in the 70's when Buckler and Sinnott teamed up on the book !  For realism, I think Sinnott is the Prince of Pencilers/Inkers !

Terry Dodson along with his wife Rchel create images with a lot of volume.
Very three dimensional. Very pinup-ish. I would like to see more
sequental/storytelling material.

Amazing stuff by Dodson !  I am fascinated by the anachronistic pairings between the green/white (older) Mar-Vell with the modern Ms. Marvel and the current Mar-Vell with the Ms. Marvel from the 70's !

For realism with maximum suspense, i.e. "Wow!  I've gotta buy this comic and read it right now!" . . . . this cover is one of my all time favorites!  I remember when I first pulled this off the stands from my lcbs, 23 years ago.  This was back when there was no Internet hype or spoilers.  I sure miss those days!  Thanks JB for such a "fantastic" issue !

Eric -

Your Kirby: Doom/Surfer & Dodson: Marvel(s) posts got me thinking about my favorite Kirby comic and the first "mention" of the Kree !

I mentioned Steranko & Sinnott on Captain America earlier!  This is from Sinnott's Brush Strokes with Greatness, pg. 46 !

Joe Sinnott either inked or drew a ton of stuff throughout his career.  I remember seeing this advertisement on the back of my comics in the 70's.  I just recently found it was done by JS !  From BSWG pg. 120.

One of my favorite John Buscema (and Joe Sinnott) comics! Marvel Spotlight #30 Warriors 3 !  Fandral, Hogun & Volstaag looking as real as the rest of the customers in the bar !

Like Buscema, Colan is a master of anatomy.  At the same time, he does some really interesting camera angles in the midst of odd panels to portray realism with surrealism.  Whenever I read Dr. Strange done by Colan, it's like looking into a dimensional viewer !  This is from Dr. Strange 180, pg. 8.
